Several of the early church fathers (Jerome, Augustine, ...) certainly taught that.It appears, even thinking about sex, is fornication to some.
And they would be profoundly angered to realize that CATHOLIC church fathers also saw sex everywhere and considered it sinful as it ran counter to their idol worship of virginity and Mary - the eternal virgin.Protestants (particularly Fundamentalists) are sometimes profoundly grubby minded. They manage to see sex everywhere - even in the most unlikely places.

Not my point. They worshiped virginity as an idol. They never worshiped Mary
Not my point. They worshiped virginity as an idol.
Actually they did. Have you actually read what the Early Church Fathers said about it? Jerome said the ONLY reason God allowed married sex was to "produce more virgins for the church.""Not my point. They worshiped virginity as an idol."
They didn't , and don't worship that either

I myself would not be a nudist because I would have constant ..... "excitement" walking around with my wife seeing her body. lol.
Aside from that I know the naked body is a thing of beauty that God created. But I also believe because of sin a nude body can be overly tempting for people so while some may appreciate it non-sexually, there will be others who think of it sexually. So I don't want people seeing my wife like that.
Is it a sin though? I don't to be nude is a sin per say. But I think God said something about being covered. I may be wrong though. Hey anyways, having clothes on makes intimacy more fun to try in public.![]()
In fact..God sees us naked anyway. As a Christian ,having a shower or bath..or even sex..will God be shy or judge you for being naked?I do not say sexual nudity is correct..but general nudity..whether nude in public..in the shower or at the gym..I do not think God is naive..the sin is not being nude..but how you use your nudity and steward your nudity. When I am nude in public..I am not going to do sexually explicit things..and whether barefoot or nude..neither in itself is sin.We find in scripture that fine linen is the righteousness of the saints...
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. - Revelation 19:8
8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. - Matthew 22
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. - Revelation 16:15
So my advice is that one had better not try to appear before God naked. If he does so it is at the expense of his immortal soul!
