Hey that’s not fair, you cut another poster’s sentence to change the meaning.
What meaning did I change?

Do you think any normal person would need notes to explain something that they said, if he does not know what was in his mind at time he made a statement we are in even deeper trouble letting this person speak for all of us.As if having notes when public speaking or possible questions isn’t a common thing…
For real, if he didn’t have notes and was just flying by the seat of his pants y’all’d’ve been mad about that too.

When you’re truthful, it doesn’t matter.I do sometimes. It depends what I was talking about, what’s happened since then and how important it is that I stay close to what I had originally said.
Some of us don’t have perfect memories.
Except this isn’t about Trump.Comparing that list to the couple basic lines Trump needed help remembering so he wouldn’t incriminate himself isn’t really the gotcha you seem to think it is.
So he was being a child in his first statements?Good for Biden sounds like.
Cheat sheets are a very good idea in life for real life, after being a school child.
And we all know Biden would fail. It’s what got him in the predicament he was in.Would I need them? Maybe. Maybe not. But I know how my mouth interacts with my brain, and sometimes I need a reminder to keep them in sync. Better to have notes and not need them than not have the notes, get sidetracked, and not make the point I was trying to make.
It looks great when a politician can speak entirely off-the-cuff, but that's not a necessary skill for governance or leadership, and it looks terrible when they try to and fail.
Reagan didn’t walk back his statement. And the Soviets were defeated. And
Biden said the right thing, originally. Sorta like Reagan saying "Evil Empire"
Kudos for Biden.
Great moment in history.Ah the gipper...
"We begin bombing in 5 minutes".
...and curiously, Russia did go on "red alert" - at least in the N Pacific allegedly due to a possibly drunk Soviet duty officer.
Since my opinion is based on facts, I still don’t need a cheat sheet.Your opinion? How about the facts and details that support or lead to your opinion in response to questions?
Lol. It wasn’t technical. Not everyone has actually done public speaking on technical topics.
I think he was answering questions, not giving a speech. How much public speaking on national TV do you do? You know this is normal. You know Trump did it. Isn’t there anything more substantial to criticize Biden for?
I would need it. I know for a fact I would. Even in front of my small public speaking class.Do you think any normal person would need notes to explain something that they said, if he does not know what was in his mind at time he made a statement we are in even deeper trouble letting this person speak for all of us.
I mean, I guess some might view it as a failure getting more votes than his opponent and ending up as President at the same time some unhinged dictator decided to invade a neighbor. But to me that seems to be going out of one's way to lay blame on someone other than the guy who decided launch an unproved invasion of a sovereign nation. And we all know Biden would fail. Please stay on topic.I mean, I guess some might view it as a failure getting more votes than his opponent and ending up as President at the same time some unhinged dictator decided to invade a neighbor. He made earlier comments about war crimes and regime changes. That’s why he needed notes, because he can’t be trusted to not speak without a script.Personally if I were in front of a camera making statements that could impact economies, I'd be pretty rigid in reading off a script.
I'm an idiot with a sieve for a brain at the best of times![]()
