Benny Hinn on Dateline Last Night

So what NBC (and other people) are saying is that it is okay for all of the unsaved to have nice hotel rooms, jets, planes, expensive suits, lush dinners and clothes, oh yeah and lets not forget...MONEY, but for those that follow God and do His commandments and walk in holiness and serve Him and lay down their worldly life for life in the word...it is not okay? It is alright for secular singers and actors to get up in award shows and talk shows and give "thanks and honor to God and Jesus Christ" but have no fruit of their love and have no fruit of their labor or faith in God, but for those that truly do have their eyes set on God's kingdom and those who are winning souls to Christ and giving God the glory in truth, whether on TV or unknown...they are wrong? IF ANYONE SHOULD BE WEALTHY, HEALTHY, PROSPEROUS, HONORED, LOOKED UP TO AND ADMIRED, it should be God's people and God's people alone. Get out of that poor man's mentality and expect big from a big God. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (1 Cor. 2:9)

We don't know the capacity that God has to bless, we can only imagine and no ones imagination is big enough to really get a clue. Give God better credit than that. As if Christ was poor. He had an accountant and wore the finest clothes and ate the finest food. When it was time to pay taxes He paid His with money, from a fishes mouth, not with humbleness of mind. (I am willing to bet the Father provided that money!) He paid tithes and offerings and had throngs of people following Him. He traveled on the best donkey unblemished and spotless (a mercedes in those days).

The word says in Romans 8
16The Spirit Himself testifies together with our own spirit, that we are children of God.
17And if we are children, then we are heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ ; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us!

Come on people, what kind of God do YOU serve? Christ came to show us how to live this life and how to handle everything and everyone in it, including money and prosperity.

Rev Benny Hinn is currently over here in Spore. Tonite (Fri) and tomorrow afternoon and nite.

I was at the Singapore Indoor Stadium just now. Q-ing up with my colleagues for about one hour without being able to get in. We were finally turned away by the ushers becos there was just no space inside.

People had already q-ed up the nite before, so by the time I got there after work today, the stadium was already jammed packed. There were still thousands of people outside the stadium in thick long qs hoping to get in.

While I was in the q, I could hear the praise & worship. It was beautiful. The songs were simple but powerful.

Sometimes I can't help but 'blame' these folks for 'delaying' the return of Christ. I mean, the church is still playing 'catch up' with the world. The church is still letting the world take the lead and dominate.

My point exactly. People in general and NBC, don't realize that we don't HAVE TO do anything to please them. We answer to God and God alone. If Benny is out of order, that is between him and Christ. NBC kept repeating and making a big deal out of him not talking to them or responding to them. HE DON'T HAVE TO!! They are not God and they have no authority without God, let alone final authority. People of this world act like we are supposed to answer to them and give acceptable explanations to them for what we do. Christians don't need nor should we be looking for any man's approval. We owe no man NOTHING, but to love them. That is it.

Ah yes, the Media-nites are still very much alive and kicking. Anyone who has ever watched TV for sometime will know that the Media is never for the church. It's time Christians dominate the media. The world should be paying our stations for airtime to air "secular" programmes, not the other way around.

Why has it turned out this way? Becos some religious folks condemed the box as demonic when it was invented. so when airtime was offered, the church shunned it and the world happily snapped it up. So now we pay the world to air Christian programmes. How sad. Whatever happened to the dominion we are supposed to have and exercise?

Amorosi thanks for your reply. I agree that things shouldnt be about people but about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I know as a televangelist daughter that there are alot in the industry who are about themselves but there are equal amounts whose heart is strickly for Him. I'll never forget when we went to Paula White's house and she was crying because somebody had wrote that she had spent the ministrys money on a house. She said to me " Im just so hungry for him and for souls to be saved I wish I could just get people to see...Im not a thief or anything like that...I'll sell this old house its just stuff all that is going to fade away but he is forever. I love all of them and just wish they knew that." WOW. I almost lost it. So you see there are people who love him so much. I love you Amorosi!!!

Money is not evil but what you do with it and how you get it can be evil. I do not think any minister is worth millions of dollars in salary nor are baseball players etc. Good grief the president only makes 200,000.
A church should provide a comfortable salary to a minister and if he takes his salary and uses it for what ever he wishes is ok as long as it is not sinful. If he makes a lot of money in investments and such that is good, but he should not use ministry money to live a lavish lifestyle like Hinn has been doing staying in 12000 dollar suites and taking lavish vacations using money folks sent in to spread the Gospel.

It took the Charlotte Observer to expose Jim Bakker and his ministry for what it was and dateline or anyone else should to to rid us of charlatons and quacks. Only thing is we Christians should be the ones doing the exposing and getting rid of those that bring a bad name on the Kingdom. But for some reason we sit wide eyed at people like Hinn and think just because something in the name of Jesus it has to be right and of God, well let me tell you there are a lot of false teachers and prophets out there using the name of Jesus for ill gotten gain. As I remember we sat transfixed with Popoff a few years ago until he also was exposed for what he was.. We have to get real and honest people.... And who exposed Popoff, the press and not us. I got it from dateline report. They said when he went to a place to preach he would stay at the best suites that went for 10,000 to 12,000 per night. Something a king would stay at. Then to relax after a show he would stop at places like Cancun for a layover and the ministry pays for that. Why cant he stay at a hotel for 200 a night and save the money for the ministry? I do not doubt the Dateline story and some of Hinn's inside people are the ones that told this stuff. Hinn did not answer because he said God told him not too=. That is a cop out. He should stand up to anyone without shame and answer the questions if he has nothing to hide ,but he does not.
Like I said before it has been the press that has brought forth and uncovered charletons like Bakker and Popoff and in my opinion Hinn fits right in there. I do not like him or what he does and I do not believe in his antics, but only God knows for sure and sooner or later the truth always comes out for the Bible says our sins will find us out. We will just have to see how it all unfolds and if not in this world then the other. Fat Eagle.
