How is love quantified?
Love is limitless. If you’re asking how much love is enough, that’s God’s job and He judges by the heart. Our job is to do as we’re told. But the more we grow in love and nearer to Him, we also know. And fruit follows, doing “for the least of these” as per Matt 25, washing our robes (Rev 21), refraining from sin, which love opposes by its nature, sacrificing for others, doing good as per Rom 2:7, loving our brother and our enemies, forgiving and accepting others, including the outcast; following and imitating Christ, IOW, being holy as per Heb 12:14. Love is our holiness.

And we won't enter heaven unless we do fulfill it as prescribed by God and taught by His church.

.

What you have said there, denies the Cross, and rejects the blood of Jesus.

Listen, you are not going to heaven, for fulfilling the law, as you have already failed this, and that is why God sent Jesus.
The only way you will go to heaven, is to be AS Righteous as God.
And you can't do that for yourself, and this is why God came down here.
He came down here to resolve the reason your relationship to Him, is broken.
And only He can repair this, and you can't.
Salvation is a GIFT, and it has nothing to do with trying to "fulfill the law" or truing to keep commandments that you have already broken.

It seems to me you are both pretty much saying the same thing.

Not at all.
He teaches that you you have to fulfill the law, yourself, to go to heaven.
So...If that is so, the why did Christ come down here ot fulfill it, then die on the Cross for the sin of the world??
Im teaching Grace, and this person is teaching hybrid.
A bit of Grace and a bit of SELF.
And that is a fail, as anything that isn't "God did it, and we get it", for free, is Galatians 1:8.

“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” Heb 12:14

Which is it then? You say we can’t possibly keep from sinning

No, ive never said that you can't stop sinning.
I said that if you are sinning and confessing, then you are not walking in the Spirit, with the understanding of God's Grace.

Paul said we are to become "the fullness of the Stature of Christ". on this Earth

The born again are "in Christ" and there is no sin found in Christ.

The born again are.."As Jesus is so are WE, in this World".

We are absolutely supposed to be, this...."as many as be PERFECT", Paul teaches.

So, the idea that Christianity is...>"well, sometimes we sin", is not the truth.
See, God didn't shed His own blood, so that a believer can live the same type life as an unbeliever.
We are delivered from the power of sin, yet, we have to understand how to do this, so that we can life that perfected discipleship.

I just meant you both sounded like you were saying the same thing in the two comments I paired together.

It doesn’t deny the cross- it upholds it. Adam freely fell. The repair is made as we freely accept the gift that we cannot give to ourselves, and continue to throughout our lives. It’s not either/or, but both. We fulfill the law but only because He puts it in our minds and writes it on our hearts. And, yes, this must be done. And, yes, we can refuse.

The gift comes in a package we have to open, take out, and use, rather than stuffing it in the closet. That’d be like the servant who buried His talents. Or if we used and benefited from the gift for awhile only that’d be like the one who tasted of the heavenly gift and later rejected it in Heb 6 or the dog that returns to its vomit in 2 Pet 2.

If you’re sinless, then you’ve fulfilled the law-and I’m in awe. And a poet, now too, to boot. Sorry. But you say that fulfilling the law is worthless anyway, at least in terms of salvation, especially if we’ve even sinned once in the past. Wow, that’s a truly new one on me. Not the gospel but innovative at least-I’ll give you that.

Im sinless, just as all the born again are sinless, because Christ has fulfilled the law, and has redeemed us, (made us sinless) with God's Blood. (Christ is God).
So, be in AWE of that, fhansen.
Try to understand that "made righteous", means what it says.
To be "Made righteous" is God causing you become as righteous as He is....based on the blood of Jesus causing this redemption. This is "the GIFT of Righteousness" , and its ETERNAL.

So, Be in AWE of What the Grace of God, as the Blood Atonement, has accomplished for the WORLD, and specifically for all the born again.

God's Grace is AWESOME.......In act, its beyond Amazing.
