What does n/t mean? I read your posts, but they still don't sound like your own words, and apparently I'm not the only one who doesn't understand what it is exactly that you're trying to say in respect to the OP, which is about not liking babies.

There are a lot of people out there in need, not just babies. And I certainly love those people, in a neighborly way. Enough that I occasionally donate my time and resources to them.

Please don't talk down to me as if I'm a child. It's quite rude, and it's most certainly not something that Christ would do.

And I understand all of the words in that post. I just don't understand how they make sense as a reply to my post. They just seem like a complete non sequitur to me.

I don't like babies or children, but I ADORE my own. I never wanted children because I was like you. I just couldn't stand them. If I had not gotten pregnant when a condom broke...then I am certain that I would still be childless. Since I have had my own children my intense dislike of children has softened quite a bit. Although, I still don't really like other peoples children. I guess it's not that I don't like them...I just don't want anything to do with them. Anyway, I love my children more than life itself and I think they are awesome! Other peoples children....not so much. I am actually a really great mother believe it or not. People tell me that all the time. Funny huh?

I thought about that. My patience with babies is pretty much nonexistent.

But I'm extremely patient with most everything else, so I don't know.

I think babies just trigger something in my subconscious. My behavior around them is completely atypical of my behavior at any other time, and it just kicks in. It's not something I can help or really control. The only control I have is if I realize that I'm about to hit one, I can catch my hand and hold back. But even that is extremely difficult for me to do.

I wonder if at some point in your life, when you were very young, you somehow felt threatened by or jealous of a baby? Do you have any younger siblings or are you the youngest?

I'm the youngest. No younger cousins or anything either. I've never even really been around a baby until my niece was born a few months ago. The only time before that that I was around them was if I'd see them when I'd go to the store or out to eat or something.

Why do people name themselves 'Christians' when they don't even know what it entails?

Being forgiven is one thing, but the WHOLE WORLD lies forgiven according to the Word of God in Scripture!

In order to become a Christian, we must invite Jesus into our hearts!
