Boris might be one of the 144,000, he might be in the know.

I think it'll be in August of 2018.

5 months later the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give it's light.

I think that the worst part of the tribulation will be wrapped up in 420 days, a third of 1260.

Many have hypothesized ways to resolve the symbols of Revelation and failed. They were not able to reliably calculate lunar and solar eclipses, nor know the times of the appearances of comets back then, much less able to calculate the time of the coming of Christ. Tribulations have raged for millennia and will be until the time of Christ's return.

Matthew 24:27 "For as the lightning flashes from the east, and is seen even to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man."

Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can't serve both God and Mammon."

Those who devote their minds to greed and deception are lost to sin, whether there is a visible mark upon them or not. To love the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself is the difficult path to salvation.

This me super paranoid. Is it physical? Is it not? If the devil tricks me, even if it's only for a second to think evilly, am I doomed? How can I be sure I don't have the mark?
The years before Jesus birth , the whole world was lost.
YHWH had called and chose a people for Himself, and they had not all stayed faithful. (the Hebrews) .
Sin was everywhere, in every town, city, county, country and religion.
YHWH had not spoken to His People in 400 +/- years.
No one, anywhere on earth,
knew what to do,
except a small group of people who were still faithful to YHWH alone.(no other gods, no other religion, no money, no fame, no honor on earth.)

Today, the whole world is lost.
YHWH has called and chosen people for Himself. And a few are faithful. (the saints).
Sin is everywhere, in every town, city, country, country and religion.
YHWH has not spoken to many people in (unknown number) of years.
A few, yes, everywhere on earth. (not like before: when it was no one).
A few, yes, know what to do.
The remnant no earth are still faithful to YHWH alone. (no other gods, no other religion, no money, no fame, no honor on earth)

Who will be able to escape the mark ?

I'd be interested to hear the other reasons, because I want to discern what the truth is, whatever it is... ... .
.. ...

I think the point is that many, like myself, do understand scripture to be saying that we, the church, will be here to see and experience this.
That might be stupendously more difficult than it
was for the believers and the Jews in Germany during the holocaust to survive.
To buy food, they were required to have food coupons,
and
the underground had to print their own counterfeit ones (hundreds or thousands or more)
to feed the people who were in hiding (if they got caught, they died).

All the churches and all of the businesses (including farms and groceries and restaurants) (especially also and particularly all the corporations) will be part of the system at that time,
going along with it, and turning in anyone who doesn't.

Perhaps that is why Jesus said what He said in Matthew 24:15-22.

Haha - I didn't even notice the grandma ! No, >>

I mean this ^^ , can you expand it ? thanks !

Oh, sorry about that. Well, in that portion of Matthew 24, Jesus is telling His followers that when the Abomination of Desolation (AoD) starts, that His advice is to run to the hills, because this will be a time of tribulation like has never been seen before in history. And those who have studied know the AoD starts at the mid-point of Daniel's 70th week. The church is nowhere promised exemption from this time of intense persecution, but as Jesus says in Matthew 24:22, those days (days of Satanic persecution) will be shortened. (By this Jesus is saying that He will step into history and bring this persecution of His elect to an end. This is what He is speaking about in Matthew 24:27-31.) The best understanding that I (and others) have is that this 'rescue' (or the bringing of this great tribulation to an end) occurs sometime during the 2nd half of Daniel's 70th week.

The main point of the above is that we, the church, will be here for this very intense time of persecution, and a great many will likely die, or as Paul and Jesus imply elsewhere, they will fall away from the faith rather than remain faithful during persecution and perhaps certain death. Most churches are not going to teach this kind of stuff, because it is not the kind of message most people want to hear. ("Just tell me of cheap grace, once-saved-always-saved, and a pre-tribulation rapture, because that is what I want to hear.")

Oh, I thought you were replying to my comment in a way that indicated you weren't sure how to respond to it. Was the quote reply an accident?
I didn't intend it at first. (the quote).
the dots just came out of nowhere ! :)
After noticing it, I just figured YHWH might have a purpose so just left it:
It is a good reminder for us all ... ."to seek .. the truth"
as
YHWH'S WORD says "at all cost get TRUTH" ... or something like that, many times I think.

Where does it say you can be tricked into taking the mark, or have the mark and not know it?

MARK OF THE BEAST!

Who cares!!! Really??? Who?

Real followers of Christ would not care!

Of course we should care, the mark of the beast cuts us off from God! We have to be ready and avoid it.

Why worry when you have faith in Jesus?

Perhaps think of it this way :

Perhaps, most people on earth are already ready and willing to receive the mark.
Perhaps, The system has been being set up for centuries.
They are told "don't worry, this IS NOT the mark of the beast" .
They are told "THIS will help you, and make things easier".
They are told "This is the truth."

And so, perhaps, most people on earth willingly get the mark, and die.
(many, perhaps many multitudes, of them suffer physically and many different ways grievously
for being willing to receive the mark,
as well as for receiving it, even before dying).

Even with many warnings. Perhaps.
