The world (society) mankind is totally corrupt. It always deceives according to Scripture. It is entirely under a death sentence,Correction: Only two times the world deceives, before the flood, and in the last days, remember?
But only two times there will be a few innocent people in the world, which is my point. The world (society) mankind is totally corrupt. It always deceives according to Scripture. It is entirely under a death sentence,
except for the remnant.
There's never been more than a few, not "only two times" but any time, all through history. But only two times there will be a few innocent people in the world, which is my point.
True.once we're saved.
DeerGlow, I don't think you need to worry. If you take God at His word, a time will come (and you may even be long gone by then) when you'll be approached to take a mark on your right hand or forehead, without which you can't buy or sell. When this happens, say "no". End of story. I suspect this hasn't happened to you yet, so you don't have the mark now. And if it comes in your lifetime there will be no doubt about the choice.
I wouldn't be surprised if the mark is literal but as long as you are saved by the blood of Jesus, you're fine. The bible says that NOTHING can separate us from Him once we're saved.
God doesn't send people to hell who are innocent, my friend. Only if you know something is a sin, and you decide to do it anyway. For example, you know that murder is a sin, and yet you contrive to kill someone who is innocent of anything. If you do this, and do not repent completely of it, you will go to hell. If there were circumstances, either you don't know that murder is a sin, or you are coerced into committing it, or do so against your will, or are tricked or in some way you do it unwillingly, you will not be sent to hell. You may still need to do penance for the 'crime', but you will eventually be permitted into heaven. The key is to repent of all your sins before you die. Ask God's forgiveness. God is merciful, not vengeful, as Martin Luther believed. This me super paranoid. Is it physical? Is it not? If the devil tricks me, even if it's only for a second to think evilly, am I doomed? How can I be sure I don't have the mark?
Read Isaiah 41: 1-4.Like I said at first, I'm paranoid. I want to be 100% sure i don't get this mark. I'm afraid because I read this post of someone theorising about how the devil will speak to people to deceive them and it popped into my head "that sounds nice" because I was looking at the part about people going to heaven and eternal bliss then I realised it was SATAN'S eternal bliss and saying he could overthrow God and I'm scared I don't support the devil I just got misled for a second.

The point is that, even if you read Revelation as something past, we are living in the end times...By the way, tattoos were given to criminals in Nero's day...This is not correct according to most people I know who read Revelation and obey the Lord Jesus.
According to the histories I read some number of years ago,
this idea that Revelation does not [ALSO] refer to TODAY
was written in some conclave , on purpose, to distract people from the truth.
No, I don't know where the conclave is, nor who it was,
although I think it is available or might be found with diligent searching.
Even without knowing who wrote that explanation in error,
knowing the truth about the book of Revelation is available by God's Promise all through the Scriptures ,
instead of relying on traditions or other ideas of men.
Great question. If Revelation refers to the present times, and the mark is literal, wouldn't we be seeing it?

Yep, here is some of that dangerous kind of thinking. Lots of people who believe (and live) this way are going to be in for a BIG surprise!
What's dangerous about that kind of thinking? I know that not everyone who calls themselves a Christian actually is but those who are saved are assured of an eternity with God.
No disagreement there. The point is that, even if you read Revelation as something past, we are living in the end times..
Look up "few" vs "many" in the BIBLE.I guess that would explain the great multitude in Revelation's 1st resurrection....
Please! There were definitely fewer innocent people in Noah's days than before his days. The earth eventually grew corrupt.Look up "few" vs "many" in the BIBLE.
"Few" of several hundred million (if that many)
compared to
"Many" of several billion (at least)
for example.
Please! There were definitely fewer innocent people in Noah's days than before his days. The earth eventually grew corrupt.
So ? This in no way challenges nor contradicts anything Scripture says or that I posted.
Except, perhaps, if you don't realize that the earth was corrupt for quite some time before they were destroyed in the flood.
And the earth was again corrupt not too long after the flood, thru to today.
"Mankind" is not good. A few at times were.
This me super paranoid. Is it physical? Is it not? If the devil tricks me, even if it's only for a second to think evilly, am I doomed? How can I be sure I don't have the mark?
