If God communicated through prayer, then you could easily prove He exists. For example, one person picks a random number, writed it down and seals it. You pray to God to give you the number. This could be done scientifically and prove God exists.

I don't know if God will speak to me or not, but even if he does not know that I can never become an athiest, the things he has already done are proof enough to me that God is real. But I accept your challenge. Pick a 10 digit number. Send it to a trusted sceptic on this site as a private message. Then tell me it is done. Then I will ask God for the number, and I will post it here.

On this site? As a PM? Get real. How do I know that you don't have some computer technique to sniff out the PM?

Here's the revised challenge. I have generated a random number and emailed it to myself on an email account that you won't find out from CF. Tell me what that number is.

I'm still taking a chance that you are an über-hacker, but this should prove challenging for even the most skilled.

So, why is it that humans are the only ones who are intelligent enough to do what we do?
What is it that we "do?" We try to adapt our environment to us instead of adapting ourselves to our environment like other animals. We use technology to do things that other animals do by instinct, with only the tools they were given at birth. I won't deny that humans are intelligent, but we're certainly not any more prepared to deal with life than any other animal.

I guess I have one more question, what about miracles? I'm talking about when someone has some sort of disease or injury, how that goes away?
The human body has an amazing ability to heal itself. Much of the "my friend had cancer and now it's gone because we prayed" stories you hear are identical to the "my friend had cancer and now it's gone because we took them to a good hospital" stories. The so-called miracles you hear about are just publicized more than the identical non-miracles. That's my take on it, anyway.

do you like tea?
I love Earl Grey with a little bit of cream. But only when the weather is cool or rainy. I sweat too much to drink tea when it's warm.

What are your feelings on christians in general?
I feel like they're grasping onto something that doesn't make a whole lot of sense for reasons I'll never understand. I don't have any problem with Christians, in general, but I do take issue with those who would have their personal beliefs spread across the globe as absolute truth when the only basis they have is, "that's just what I believe." It's unhealthy to feel that way about faith-based ideas, especially when you can even acknowledge that they are personal to you and only "true" because of how you, personally, feel. Otherwise, Christians are people just like anyone else.

But I accept your challenge. Pick a 10 digit number. Send it to a trusted sceptic on this site as a private message. Then tell me it is done. Then I will ask God for the number, and I will post it here.
I find it very odd that you would respond in this way. I expected to see something like, "Thou shalt not put the Lord thy God to the test." And I would presume that you don't feel God works this way. Are you actually expecting to come up with the number for real? This is especially troubling since there is only a 1 in 10,000,000,000 chance that you could pick the right number, and even less of a chance if he happens to pick a negative number.

But, I have to admit, I'm curious.

Okay, then, here goes; same question the new neophytes in my lodge got. What are ten qabalistic significances which can be drawn from "six and fifty?" Provide gematria as proof.

Well almost everyone I know is christian. The only people who are not are my roommate, and my two best friends. Plus I pretend to be one too at my parnts house, because my parents still don't know. Sometimes when my parents say illogical things, I just want to say something, but I simply hold back.

Like 2 days ago we were watching the news, and they had a segment with how do terrorists get their people through their religion. Then my aunt said, "I can't believe they kill themselves thinking they are going to get 72 virgins when they are going to heaven, talk about crazy."

Well no they do not annoy me unless they go push their beliefs to everyone else. At my university, There is this guy that comes every month with a huge sign that says that everyone like mormons, jahova witnesses, catholics, muslims, gays, abortionists, non-believers, hindus, jews, pretty much everyone who doesn't believe what he does, will be going to hell. That really annoyed and angered me, not only in part of the non-believers, but everyone. But at the end I thanked him for giving this school a blantant display of irrationality, and he is actually my secular organization more than hurting.

Well some radical, hardcore christians are very narrowminded, like that guy I talked to with the sign. There are a few like here in this forum that are fairly open minded who believe for just the sake of having faith.

Well the main I would use is simply deluted. Like kids who still believe in their personal santa clause, nothing wrong, ut it is simply delusional.

I'll give it a try.

The name NV = 56

This is the Number of Nuit’s Word Ch I Pg 5 “I am Nuit and My Word is six and fifty”

These are the letters of Scorpio and Taurus

One of them is the sexual significance of this Venus-Mars axis, a formula of the Rosy Cross.

NV (i.e. Scorpio-Taurus) defines, in our system, the body of space. Taurus, truley the first sign of the zodiac.

56 is visibly related to 156 = Babalon

Proof I think:

77 + (7+7)/7 + 77.

56 is part of the 7 series (2x2x2 x 7)

There I think I answered something at least.

Well played, Clerks...well played.

Also, 5+6 = 11. Eleven would be associated with magick, and the "beyond"...such as the Ain Soph Aur associated with NVIT in Thelemic QBL.

Ever heard what Jesus had to say about people that claim to be His followers?

It's not craziness, it is trained minds.

Well no they do not annoy me unless they go push their beliefs to everyone else.

You mean like materialists do at every college and university they get tenure?

Irrationality? Was he born thinking this way or did he come to this conclusion after studying for a long time?

Well some radical, hardcore christians are very narrowminded, like that guy I talked to with the sign.

What if he reasoned his way to that belief? When you read the entire New Testament, you see that there are lots of people doomed. It takes "schoalrship" and a very open mind to learn this.

There are a few like here in this forum that are fairly open minded who believe for just the sake of having faith.

That's the definition of narrow mindedness.

Well the main I would use is simply deluted. Like kids who still believe in their personal santa clause, nothing wrong, ut it is simply delusional.

There was a real santa claus. He passed away, but his spirit lives on. The guy in the red suit and rudolph are advertisement gimmicks. You have to keep an open mind to know the truth.

If anyone watched this and liked it I would encourage you to seek out more videos from QualiaSoup and TheraminTrees. They both have a lot more videos similarly themed on reasoning/rationality/logic. I love 'em a lot even though the topics aren't in any way foreign. They even have awesome accents! Nice pick Skeptic. Any excuse to post awesome material goes in my book as fair game.

I figured I could get away with shameless further advertisement because evidently the bar for relevance has been severely lowered lately...
