Up to that point, the world will be saying peace and safety, because they will think they have entered the messianic age with the rider on the white horse.

This will be after the perceived messiah - shatters the whole messianic age peace and safety the world will think it is in, following Gog/Magog. The whole thing is based on the misperception that the Jews will have that the person is the messiah and their convincing the world of the same.

I don't know much about Islam's and Judaism's belief about a "Messianic age", as neither 1 of those religions believe Christ is the Son of God, so it is a mute point.
And truthfully, I could really care less what they believe concerning Christ/Messiah or about our NT...

I and some others are of the view they are 1 and the same event, since the Bible only mentiones 1 Great Day of the Lord God Almighty.

I would say it is possible they are the same event, considering:

At the 6th seal, the heavens depart and the mountains/islands removed
Revelation 6:14 and heaven departed as a scroll rolled up, and every mountain and island — out of their places they were removed
At the battle of Armageddon, after the 7th bowl of wrath, the islands and mountains flee are not found
Revelation 16:20 and every island did flee away, and mountains were not found,
At the great white throne judgment, after Gog and Magog, the heavens and earth flee and are not found
Revelation 20:11 from whose face the earth and the heaven did flee away, and place was not found for them

Unless is it possible the heavens and earth flee more than once?

Often times when I come on this board, I will wear my tin foil hat and suit so I don't get seduced by the dark side of rapturism and futurism, which Satan appears to have a fairly good hold on. This should be the theme song of this board me thinks ehehe.....
