    Yet another dodge.
Jesus did sometimes ask the tough questions...

    Matt 25:28
23 When Jesus returned to the temple courts and began to teach, the chief priests and elders of the people came to Him. “By what authority are You doing these things?” they asked. “And who gave You this authority?”
24 “I will also ask you one question,” Jesus replied, “and if you answer Me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.
25 What was the source of John’s baptism? Was it from heaven or from men?”
They deliberated among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will ask, ‘Why then did you not believe him?
26 But if we say, ‘From men,’ we are afraid of the crowd, for they all regard John as a prophet.”
27 So they said to Jesus, “We do not know.”
“Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things,” He replied.
    [Luke 20:5]

    Jesus is Righteous.
He did not answer all the questions put to Him by unbelievers , nor by those who sought wickedly an evil excuse to accuse Him.
    ....

“Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things,” ....[Luke 20:5]

I darn near died from depression when they buried the GA board.
I copied a lot of threads from it [including your infamous "bicycle challenge" thread], and they did archive that board for awhile, then it too went to the black hole of cyberspace.
Where is the general apologetics forum?

Well actually I meant the one from the old GA board in 2008.
Unfortunately, I failed to copy the first 15 pages of it of that thread. Not sure why......
You and I were both very active on that board..........

Some reject God's truth? Do you not find it strange that in the years you've been posting your ideas absolutely no one concurs with your extremely unusual interpretation of Genesis? And you've got the nerve to accuse others of "twisted, non evidenced bluster"? Have a bit of humility and try listening to other people, maybe, just maybe, it's you who's mistaken and not everyone else in the world.

Creationism seems to wax and wane in the US. I'm not sure entirely why - it could be for a number of reasons.

At the moment, US public school teaching standards seem to be moving away from creationism, and ID (which to an outsider's perspective has completely failed to make an impact). With a few exceptions, school board decisions and education standards seem to have gone against creationism (or "academic freedom" bills) over the past decade, and all legal cases I can discover have ruled against teaching creationism in public schools.

Academic freedom bills - read: we need space to teach non-scientific ideas in science class, and false equivalency/controversy is the only way we can get this through - got knocked down everywhere except Tennessee and Louisiana.

The big news is that the two major text book markets - Texas and California - both had legal cases in the past 10 years that decided against creationism and ID in text books. In addition, the attempts by creationists to populate state school boards seems to have been overcome and/or resisted in these important markets.

So, on a public education front, there is hope for the US.

The concern is outside of the regular public school systems. Charter schools in particular. US religious schools are free to teach what they want, and that's fine (within limits). However, US charter schools are getting public funds and teaching a religious doctrine. There's also those not easy to qualify systems, like the Texas 'Responsive Education Systems', which again get public funding and teach creationism.

    Then there's homeschool.

It's hard to quantify exactly how many students are receiving creationist education from homeschool. There are anywhere from 1.8 to 2 million homeschool students in the US, up from about 1 million in the early 2000s.

Firm numbers of how many homeschooled students are taught creationism, or some variation of it, are even harder to come by. When you can get them, they are very broad.

I've seen estimates that range from just over a quarter of all US homeschool students are taught creationism to over two thirds of students. With a variance that wide, it means either the data is completely inadequate or people are just guessing based on small samples (which is basically the same thing).

Given that homeschooling is dominated by white, evangelical protestants from the Bible belt and Midwest states (around 65% of all homeschool students fit into this category) I'd hazard that the proportion is more than half of all homeschool students are taught creationism in one form or another. There's a reason why ICR and Answers In Genesis provide "resources" for homeschooling.

Anecdotally though, there does seem to be some sort of movement away from the sort of biblical literalist, young earth creationist texts in the homeschool movement. Organisations like NASH and other secular homeschooling organisations have been working with major scientific and teaching bodies to develop a series of textbooks that match, or are even better than, current public school standards.

    There's hope yet. :)

Doesn't matter since all life on our planet came forth from WATER on the 5th Day at God's command. Gen 1:21 Science agrees and shows that the last universal common ancestor L.I.S.A. first appeared in WATER some 3.8 Billion years ago, in man's time. Scripture and Science agree. That's God's Truth. God Bless you

I'm listening but no evol has been able or dares to post any evidence of the process by which mindless nature implanted Adam's superior intelligence, which is like God's Gen 3:22, into prehistoric people, which changes them into Humans. Perhaps they are too afraid of Occam's Razor slicing their long winded foolishness to shreds. I promise to be "nice" if one of them will work up the courage to post his ideas. How bout you? I try my best to coax them out by calling them what they are. God Bless you

You have not even demonstrated that there is any such wondrous intelligence. Or that your God exists, and we know that there was no "Adam" so you are about 0 for 5 or 6 in that post alone.

Aman, when you make a post there is nothing that needs to be refuted. You need to make a at least half decent claim if you want to see anyone bother to refute it.

You know that I consider you to be one of the best minds online, but you are not God, but instead a woman. Sorry, but I always take God's Word, instead of mortal man's or woman's. No slight intended since He can take us both to Heaven and I can hardly wait to see you there. God Bless you
