I was actually planning to have him come in during the trip to the Tree. Dropping from the sky might be a good intro. However, instead of amoebas, maybe he should drop down in front of a group of plankton, get caught in a fight, and that's how he's introduced to the other characters.

Set him up however you like. And I'm glad you brought Hollowstar into this!

There, I've made my opening post. His more sensible identity will develop as Amathon moves further away and his influence on Apendotripodaquarn weakens. See if you can find an excuse to name him "eee" raindrop (or whatever), as I didn't explain that. If you don't give him a last name anytime soon, I'll name him Randomthought, as there's no way the plankton or amoebas would think of that.
