The “structural inequities” are a lie. Major sports are perpetuating that lie.
Yup, and maybe we can figure out why police think they should follow well dress men driving a family-style car in an upper-class neighborhood to their own home. Then follow them to the door to see if they actually have the keys and then peek inside to see that it's an empty house. When he stopped them just to ask them where they were going they told him they had bought a house to resell, but he didn't believe them.Well, since America has solved structural racism, maybe we can move on to reducing the number of people who feel comfortable marching around shouting "Jews will not replace us" and things like that.
well...you've convinced meThe “structural inequities” are a lie. Major sports are perpetuating that lie.
They are actually moving backwards.

That’s not “structural racism”, though.Yup, and maybe we can figure out why police think they should follow well dress men driving a family-style car in an upper-class neighborhood to their own home. Black men in a white, affluent neighborhood.
Maybe we should set up a system where the percentage of employees and owners reflect America. To make it “fair” (which is what you are going for), 13% of player, coaches, GMs and owners should be black.Of the 32 NFL teams, how many have owners or general managers who aren't old, white and male?
The NFL player base is ~70-75% African American, but what proportion of its professional staff - both corporate and on teams - are African American? What proportion of coaches are African American?
When NFL players are interviewed about their main concerns as players, why does racism continually come up as one of the top responses?
American Sports Are Letting Down America
“The entire American sports world—a culture that traditionally celebrates victors, meritocracy, colorblindness, and patriotism—has suddenly immersed itself in black victimization and left-wing radicalism. This immersion threatens to do permanent damage to American culture as a whole. It has certainly undermined national pride. A country that no longer believes in its founding ideals cannot prosper and survive.”
****
“As fans, we can only hope and pray that these feckless leaders will reconsider their embrace of the BLM cult—a necessary first step to returning American sports to what it has been in the past: a force for unity and a model of a diverse and colorblind meritocracy.”
Which has nothing to do with the article. The way sports are managed in the US is more like a $-cracy.
Which has nothing to do with the article.
What part of the article addressed that issue?Sure it does, US sports management don’t celebrate colourblindness, they celebrate the dollar. Look at who gets put in charge of issues like player welfare, and the long culture of sidelining anything resembling what’s good for players in pursuit of ever more revenue. The presentation of US sports as a bastion of equality is false, it’s a bastion of exploitation for profit. If you have any doubts about that you Malcolm Gladwell wrote a series of detailed exposes on business practices in the world of pro sports over there.

Thanks for clearing that up.This part, this is not an accurate representation.
Thanks for clearing that up.
I forgot to add “/sarcasm” to my post. I’ll fix that.No problem. I can take the fun out of any scenario, message me for a quote.
What is structural racism in your opinion? That’s not “structural racism”, though.
A myth. What is structural racism in your opinion?
Ok. So now neither of us know what youre trying to talk about.A myth.
What part of the article addressed that issue?
Unfortunately a lot of athletes are the bigots that are organizing this entity.American sports are finaly stepping up to the plate as an organized entity. That is a major issue for American bigots.
Are you suggesting this is common for black people who live in affluent neighborhoods? Because I can assure you it is not.Yup, and maybe we can figure out why police think they should follow well dress men driving a family-style car in an upper-class neighborhood to their own home.
