  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

This passage isn't concerned with creation.

You seem to have a major problem at understanding the context of passages. the ''unmovable'' in 1co xv. 12 relates to not being turned aside by others. The context is not physical, but mental.

The fact is the Bible repeats that the earth isn't to move, it is to be kept stationary, the foundations shall never be moved. This is repeated throughout Psalms, i can give you more quotes if you like as well.

You sound very familiar. Do I know you? :) Remeber Saul who became Paul?
And yes, I have been to Saskatchewan and the earth is definetly flat . I wonder what people thought when they gazed up at a full Moon on a cloudless, dark night?

I have proof of a flat earth: All the lost Biros (ball point pens) and disposable lighters and missing pets and persons; All must have fallen off the edge of the earth. Beware heathens for beyond here be dragons and the chasm of terror.

I am planning a bungy jumping trip to the edge of the earth! Must be an awesome experience:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

Don't worry about it -- he's yanking our chains.
Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....
...he might be a dad sockpuppet.

Or even an AV sockpuppet joke.

The former probably wouldn't be yanking our chains (n.b. diamond core earth, flood waters taken to another planet, etc), but the latter might.

I guess we'll have to see how consistent he is in the long run.

I was on the forum religiousforums about a month or so ago. Username: Ascythian. Though i left that site, because atheists dominated it.

I then joined here, since it is a Christianforums. Yet 90% of posters in this thread are more atheist trolls.

Where can Christians go, where atheists won't be stalking them?

Couldn't refute what i said, so you follow internet trends and call me a ''poe''.

That's all you atheists have.
Let me state this a different way for you, based upon theistic (specifically Christian) responses to you in this very thread-
"Couldn't refute what I said, so you follow internet trends and use Bible verses.
That's all you theists have.
"

See how much better that works?

Well, here on this specific thread, even your own fellow theists are debating your beliefs.

So don't hang this all on atheists.
I'm willing to bet you can't even deal with your fellow theists here for one calendar year (after all, they're already calling your beliefs in this thread into question).

These are da' intarwebs, wear a helmet :D

<staff edit>

Evolution and belief in heliocentrism is against what the Bible informs. The Bible is also against the idea of the earth moving, i already gave scriptural evidence against the idea of a ''rotating globe''.

The Bible also references the corners, ends or edges of the earth. If the earth was round or a ''globe'' it can't have these.

Bible references:

Deu 28:49, Deu 28:64, Deu 33:17, 1 Sam 2:10, Job 1:7, Job 28:24, Job 37:3, Psa 2:8, Psa 19:4, Psa 22:27, Psa 33:13, Psa 33:14, Psa 48:10, Psa 59:13, Psa 61:2, Psa 65:5, Psa 72:8.

I also have about 100 more instances where the ends or edges of the earth are referenced.

This is simply not compatable with a round earth. Christians are not at liberty to pick and chose parts of the Bible to follow, you either believe in God's word or don't, and the Bible certainly informs the earth is not round.

Nowhere.

Jesus said if you life Him up, He will draw all men nigh unto Him.

You lift up Buddha here --- meh --- they nary say a word.

You lift up Krishna here --- meh --- maybe a yawn.

You lift up Jesus Christ here and they'll come from the four corners of the Internet to vegomatick you.

Actually, Hindu fundamentalists draw quite a bit of flak in the Hindi speaking world.

On English speaking forums, most of the discussion from athiests is regarding Jesus because most English speaking religious people are Christian, and most English speaking athiests are from a Christian cultural background. Lets not get paranoid and see persecution where there is nothing more than an accident of language.

So the photos from space are what, fake?

Space exploration etc was invented by modern Atheists/evolutionists. It's opposed as to what the Bible teaches.

Look at the scripture i have cited. Are you a Christian? If so, then i don't understand how or why you put modern pseudo-science above scripture.

I'm a Christian who has seen a space shuttle launch.

Could I have a direct answer to my question please? Photos from space, fake, or what?

You missed the point. If you are a Christian then read and accept the scripture. <staff edit>
'Space' doesn't exist according to scripture, so i don't care what those photos are of.

Considering the Bible is clearly geocentric, and pretty clearly geoplanic... lets not.
No --- your interpretation of the Bible is that It is geocentric.

Can you show me one accredited Bible college or university that teaches --- as basic doctrine --- that the Bible is geocentric; let alone "clearly geocentric"?

<staff edit> I asked you to explain what the photo is of.

Hey... do computers exist according to scripture?

Does your computer exist? I don't remember many of them mentioned in the bible.

Apparently the one ascythian subscribes to.

Ah AV, gotta love it. You demand an utterly literal reading of Genesis, but any other bit of the Bible that a literal reading of is inconvenient comes down to a matter of interpretation.
