If the people who want it taught don't know the actual history....are they objecting to this because that would be the wrong way to teach it? Is that the right way to teach it? I mean...it's a race riot, so I'm not even certain about what is meant by "let's not tie it to skin color"...I doubt the article goes into detail about what he meant by that, and I don't think anyone upset by it knows either.
