I'm glad I found this thread as it hits home for me as well. I turned 41 years old not too long ago, and have never been in a serious relationship or dated much at all.

31 is just like 30. At 32 I realized that 32 will be no different and I stopped counting.

I thought after the lockdowns ended, things would change. There was one I wanted to meet at work, the one at my parent's church, a few others.

I was wrong. They disappeared.

I think a lot of people "got used" to being alone during 2020, at least enough that they aren't actively or as actively seeking people out. They could also be thinking that "we are still in a pandemic" and at any moment another lockdown could occur. I'm sure there are some fish in the sea though, maybe you'll have to look in other rivers.

No need to worry. Be your best self and the rest will come.

You can always make use of the time you are single - save money, read, learn, build career... whatever will be later useful to you or to other creatures around you, so that you will be able to provide.

Well, first, being too emotional is not good for a man. Women do not like it in men and children need a stable father figure without crying.

So, you can use your single time to excercise some stoicism and to be a better man. And you can of course also excercise physically to be more attractive and healthy.

And you can build your career to provide well for your future family.

Last year I got really depressed this time of year into February. The doctor had to give me supplemental mood boosters. Now another year's gone by wasted single w/ absolutely no prospects.

Definitely agree it wouldn't be good for children. The problem is this is just a result from years & years & years of being stuck in this exact same situation.

I already exercise physically, b/c I sit all day at work & get eyestrain too so it helps to get physical activity. I've got compliments. Not from singles tho.

Do you have a prepared place for comfortable living for more people?

What family?
Yes I do, that's some of the problem. I feel like I got things lined up & that's why it's so frustrating. It's not like I'm making $8/hr struggling to get by.
I feel like I work on myself. I've had a lot of time to do that 30 years being single. It just never amounts to anything. I feel like I could make 6 figures, thousands of hobbies & interests, & it still wouldn't be enough.
