I thought his comments in the last paragraph at the bottom of page 160 were most insightful. Spiritual he is not IMO. Simply a mental man making an analysis of things spiritual. IOW spirit affects emotion and psychology affects physiology. Also his comments in paragraph 1 of page 183 were again most insightful as to his ability to judge spiritual things correctly from a Christian POV.
In college, studying for my doctorate, I too studied the homunculus. Indeed I think we even had to memorize parts for a test, if memory still serves me correctly.

But when one is studying CNS (central nervous system) info., along with PNS (peripheral nervous system) I guess I found PNS to be more challenging. Since drawing the brachial plexus out for a PNS test was very much like memorizing a map to Chicago from my humble beginnings in western Kansas. Oh well, we all are on our own journeys, as Christians, to plumb 'the depths' which only the Holy Spirit can truly take those who are truly spiritual 'to'.
