  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    feedback on my music

So I made this mini album in the last few months. I played all the instrument and singed and recorded and mixed the whole thing, some of it in our empty church building during the pandemic :) The title is The Prayer Project, because each of the songs was kind of inspired by a part of the Lord's...

    Music made by me

Hello all, I make music myself and would like to share it. It's a bit classical/soundtrack kind of music and it has not lyrics. I consider it a bit christian because I try to add a feeling to the music. The title also has to do with Christianity and enlarges the feeling I want people to get...

Lets talk about traditional liturgical Church Music

In this forum we haven’t been talking much about Traditional Theology of late, so I thought we might have a thread to talk about the musical heritage of traditional theology. @dzheremi - your church has Tasbeha, one of my favorite traditions of ancient hymnody (as far as ancient church music...

i like lots of secular songs. They are fun to listen to. I like Christian songs for other reasons but I wouldn’t call them fun. Is this ok?

    Music

Hi again, If you've seen my previous posts, you'll know that I was obsessing over cleaning up my hard drive for anything bad (ie a meme with a bad symbol in the corner or a photo of the street from vacation but someone has a shirt on with a bad symbol on it). I scrubbed my hard drive. Cleaned...

How can Christians sing together online?

Hello! Due to the coronavirus, the brethren at the church I attend can't worship in song together like we could before. If we wanted to do such over the Internet, what app would you recommend? Thanks!

    Amazing Grace

For God so loved the world that He truly saved a wretch like me. I'm so undeserving of God's love, I have turned my back on Him time and time again in my life yet, His love for me is steadfast. Did He not leave the 99 sheep and go in search of the one? I am that one and this is my story. For...

The Sound of Hagia Sophia 500 years ago

The Sound of Hagia Sophia 500 years ago. NPR audio, about 5 minutes in length. An art historian and a digital music expert team up to recreate the sound. "They could recreate what that music would sound like. If only they could get in the Hagia Sophia and pop a balloon."

    Slade

Anyone here who likes Slade? I love their early 70's sound; the classic hard rock and sing along songs aswell as their late 70's sound, close to punk. Also their lyrics are pretty clean apart from a few songs. The lyrics of the song The Gospel According To Rasputin look bad to me but in...
