    who loves to skateboard?

Well, not to resurect an old thread, but... I skate! I skated for a couple years from ages 14-16, and got ok. I could ollie real well (like 3 or 4 decks sideways consistently), and the tricks I could do, I could do really solid. 50-50, 180 ollies, pop shuv-it, simple stuff. Well, just last...

    Worlds greatest guitarists...

John Petrucci is my current favorite, although I certainly understand that there isn't one single person that does everything the best. However, J.P. comes really close ;)

    Grrrr, official Metal thread!

I'm a metal fan. I just went to the Boston Giantour show last Saturday. Nevermore, Dillenger escape plan, Fear Factory, Dream Theater (the reason I went), and Megadeth. I didn't get there in time for Nevermore, but I liked Dillenger. Sort of like screaming prog rock, lots of blast beats and all...

    Fear Factory: Transgression

I just saw them live when they opened for Dream Theater/Megadeth in Boston. I was never a huge fan, but they deffinitely had me headbangin'. They put on a great performance, and the songs that they played from the new album were nice and heavy.

    Extreme Sports

I skateboard... is that still considered an extreme sport? I just read Rodney Mullen's autobiography, and it got me motivated again.

    Best musician

Neal Morse (formerly of Spock's Beard and Transatlantic) would probably get my vote. The guy plays just about every instrument, sings, and is a GREAT songwriter. Check out "Testimony" if you've never heard of him. Also Transatlantic - Bridge Across Forever Another vote would go to Steven...

Looking for some listening ideas for my Honeymoon...

Honestly, I would probably go for some instrumental jazz. Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" or something of that nature. Low key, moody, deffinitely not distracting.

    Stryper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stryper rocks! I don't know too much of their music, but Michael Sweet actually lives in my town, and a younger kid in my church is friends with his son. I see Michael every so often like in the grocery store or at a restaraunt or something. He doesn't know me, but I recognize him. I had a...

    Brian "Head" Welch leaves KORN

You do when you've made as much money as he has. I know what you're saying though. He could very well end up back where he was if he's not in a good church environment. I think the best perk of this is that we won't be subjected to Korn's music on the radio anymore!

    Dream Theater

They use themes that are obviously from the bible, and their music DOES tend to be positive, but I'm very sure that none of them are christians. For many years I frequented the www.mikeportnoy.com forums, and the question came up a few times, each time with Mike responding that he was a...

    Steve Vai

I think Steve Vai is "Spiritual", but I wouldn't go as far as saying that he's a christian. Muslims and Pagans believe in God too... The last line from "For the Love of God" is "Walking the fine line between pagan and christian". I never really thought that was all too fine of a line...

    Extol?

Well, I only have Synergy, and it's the only album I've heard, but I absolutely LOVE them. They've got a wicked prog influence. All their stuff is in odd time and has crazy changes. My favorites off the album are 26 Miles from Marathon and Emancipation. I also love them because even though I...

    New England Musicians?

I live on Cape Cod. I play guitar and drums, and am into prog rock/metal. I like a whole ton of stuff, but that's what I tend to focus on musically. I don't really think I want to be in a band at the moment, although I always enjoy playing with other other musicians. What part of Boston?

Yes, I just HAD to ask. :-D

Well, I'm not female, but I like 80's rock, Metal, am a christian, and live in New England. At least you know there are other people like you in your neck of the woods. Where in New England do you live?

    Does your church have Drums

Yup, and I'm the drummer, too! My band also has band practice there :)

    Top 5 Christian bands?

I would have to say Extol. I can't list any other bands because all others pale by comparison. Actually, I have to give honerable mention to Syzygy.
