First, it wasn't man-made teachings Jesus was against.

Jesus was against the way the Pharisees enforced the teachings of God. But how do you know it's strictly man-made teachings? For example, when the apostles chose Matthias, your eyes see them drawing lots to choose a successor, yet the Scripture clearly says that the Holy Spirit guided them. Also, Jesus looked human, yet was/is God. So the Jews always thought "How can this MAN tell us these things?"
Secondly, on the Sabbath, the people of God did not gather to worship. They rested from work. Also, synagogue was not a place to worship, it was a place to learn. So they gathered to learn, as Jesus Himself proves when he reads the Prophet Isaiah in the synagogue. Not only that, they went to synagogue on Sabbath, weren't the teachers WORKING when they were teaching the people?
Again, we worship every day, as the priests did. Worship means sacrifice, necessarily.Well, God's 4th commandment is to honor your father and mother. Be that as it may, the requirement of God was to rest on the Sabbath. They worshiped every day.
As if you have some secret truth...Take care.

Sure it was....

Matthew 15:3-9
[2], Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
[3], But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
[4], For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
[5], But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
[6], And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
[7], Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
[8], This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
[9], But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Hope this is helpful

True we are in the new covenant now not the old covenant. Can you tell me what the new covenant is?

Old vs. New

Mat 5:27 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY.'
Mat 5:28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

New vs. Old

2Co 3:6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
2Co 3:7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,
2Co 3:8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?

That doesn't say anything about Scripture being the only rule of faith. Not one thing. In fact, it says the rule of faith comes from what is heard, which comes through the word of Christ.

Jesus didn't give us a rule of faith. In fact, when he was asked "What must I do to be saved?" Jesus told the rich young man, basically, "you already know what to do.". The young man said "I've already done all that" and Jesus said "Then sell everything and come follow me." The young man was looking for a formula, and Jesus didn't give him one. Nor does he give one at all. But he does tell the apostles they have the authority, and what they say, goes, and promised the Holy Spirit to guide them in all truth.

No, it's not. IT's the Pharisees legal tradition he's talking about, that which separates people more from God because it's a burden on them. Or allows them to skate from the commandment, in this case. When they honor with their lips but not their hearts. There's a difference between that and Sacred Tradition.

And of course, you ignored the meat of what I posted.

Nope, read the scriptures. They were breaking God's 5th commandment by their own traditions. Just like many break God's 4th commandment by the man-made teaching and tradition of Sunday worship.

Matthew 15:3-9

Keep reading the rest of the verse...

Romans 10:17 Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Gods' Word therefore is the only rule of faith without it we are lost as there is no higher authority in God's true Church than the Word of God which is the foundation of the only true faith.

Hope this is helpful.

Well, no it isn't, as usual. Your translation is different, for one, and your understanding for another. When Paul wrote to the Roman's, the only Word he ha from Christ was oral. . I'm done, once again. I will shake the dust off my sandals and let you argue with others. But you are wrong. Hope this helps, and take care, and all that.

Still waiting for you to answer my question. We are in the new covenant now not the old covenant. Do you know what the new covenant is? If you do not know just say so you do not have to answer the question if you do not want to.

I just left you with an entire sermon to explain it.
Did you watch any of Pastor Bob George's sermon on the New Covenant? It is one of the best I have ever found.

The New Covenant: Bob George

The New Covenant is what makes me acceptable to God, not through what I have done, but through what Christ has done at Calvary.

It is through His works, instead of through mine.

It is the Gospel of His virgin birth, and His sinless life, and His sacrifice at Calvary, and His resurrection from the dead, and His return one day to planet earth to reverse the curse and make all things write.

Gal 3:1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?
Gal 3:2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—

Please tell us what you think the New Covenant is?

Heb 8:13 In that He says, "A NEW COVENANT," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Why? What is the new covenant? No one seems to want to provide any scripture. The conversation is already changed and gone off topic which is what your friend is seeking to do. To be on topic, the OP is asking for scripture that proves that "the Lords day" of Revelation 1:10 is Sunday or the first day of the week. Do you have any scripture that supports with man-made teaching and tradition claimed by some in the early Church? Nope. That is why many in this thread are seeking to bring the discussion off topic to the OP and seeking to steer the discussion away from the request for scriptures to prove that Sunday is "the Lords day" of Revelation 1:10 because there is none.

Take Care.

True we are in the new covenant now not the old covenant. Can you tell me what the new covenant is? (hint, look at the context of the scripture you provided *Hebrews 8:10-12 from Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Ezekiel 36:24-27). So where is the scripture that says "the Lords day" of Revelation 1:10 is Sunday? - There is none
And Where in Scripture does it say the "Lord's Day" Rev 1:10 is the Sabbath? - it doesn't.

Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath and the Seventh Day Sabbath is the Sabbath of God. But no where does it say the Lord's Day that John Speaks of is the Sabbath verbatim.

According to the scriptures, Revelation 1:10 "the Lords day" in the Greek word meanings of τῇ κυριακῇ ἡμέρᾳ translated as "the Lords day" means (1) the Lords ownership of the day. According to the scriptures alone Jesus claims he is (2) Lord of the Sabbath day because he is the creator of it *Matthew 12:8; Mark 2:28; Luke 6:5; John 1:1-4; 14; Colossians 1:16; Genesis 2:1-3 and Jesus and God (3) claim ownership of the Sabbath day in Isaiah 58:13; Exodus 31:12-18; Leviticus 19:30; Ezekiel 20:12; Deuteronomy 5:15; Leviticus 23:3; Exodus 31:15; Exodus 20:10.

All of the above scriptures are evidence that agree to the interpretation provided from the scriptures alone in Revelation 1:10 that the day the Lord claims ownership over is the Sabbath day. Are you trying to say that Jesus does not claim to be Lord of the Sabbath day when he says in Matthew 12:8 that he is Lord of the Sabbath day claiming authority over the Sabbath and that He does now claim ownership of the Sabbath day when he calls it My holy day which is the meaning of the original Greek of Revelation 1:10 τῇ κυριακῇ ἡμέρᾳ translated as "the Lords day" or the Lords ownership of the day?"

You seemed to have not considered all the above simply making the argument that because the term "the lords day" is not used anywhere else in the bible it does not have application to any day. The scriptures provided above simply show that this claim is not true and neither is it biblical.

While I agree with you that the term "the Lords day" is only used in Revelation 1:10. Application of what day Jesus claims to be Lord over and claims ownership over according to the scriptures is clearly the Sabbath day. On the other hand, there is no scripture that says "the Lords day" of Revelation 1:10 is Sunday or the first day of the week.

Take Care.

Paul and Peter had a disagreement in the Book of Galatians.

Was Peter keeping the New Covenant perfectly at that point in time?

I think you have missed the point here from @HIM post. He was referencing the context you left out of Hebrews 8:13 defining what the new covenant is which I have asked you many times now. How does anything you have posted here relate to the topic of the OP? - It doesn't as we all agree we are in the new covenant now not the old covenant. Although it seems many do not know what the new covenant is as defined in the scriptures in Hebrews 8:10-12 from Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Ezekiel 36:24-27. Now where in the new covenant scriptures does it teach that "the Lords day" of Revelation 1:10 is Sunday or the first day of the week? Let's be honest here. There is no scripture to support this man-made teaching and tradition now is there.

Take Care.

"His commandments" are found below.

1Jn 3:22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
1Jn 3:23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
1Jn 3:24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

Your teachings of lawlessness (without law) are noted. However this is not a teaching that comes from the bible or supported in the scriptures because according to Jesus, Paul James and John love is expressed in obedience to God's 10 law not by breaking God's law. The purpose of God's 10 commandments according to the new covenant scriptures is to give us the knowledge of good (moral right doing) and evil (moral wrong doing); sin (moral wrong doing) and righteousness (moral right doing) *Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Psalms 119:172 which show us our duty of love to God and man *see Matthew 22:36-40; Romans 13:8-10; Romans 3:31; James 2:8-12; 1 John 3:4-9; 1 John 5:2-3. Can you please stop spamming my thread with off topic nonsense not relevant to the OP and return to the OP which is asking for a discussion of the scriptures that prove that Sunday is "the Lords day" of Revelation 1:10?

If you find no law in 1 John 3:22-24, and no law in the sermon on The Law of Christ (Part 3), then we have all noted that you are not an unbiased witness.

One kiss changed a woman's life, in the video The Law of Christ (Part 3) by Pastor Charles Leiter. After the kiss, she kept asking the question..."Who kissed me?"
The woman who gave that kiss was following 1 John 3:22-24.
