Those who burned books in the Nazi regime were also free to do so.

But it should concern people nonetheless
Hmm, changing the subject yet again. I guess if the original attempt didn't scare people enough, bring up Nazis? I don't know how many voters are going to fall for it, let's see how it works out.

I'm sure Marx would have been appalled at how his ideology has been applied throughout the world, much like Christ would have been appalled at how the Catholic church conducted the oppression of Jews in Europe. But both have a similarity, the state uses their ideology for their own purposes as those purposes end up devolving into wickedness. In fact, Christ fought the leaders of his day as well.
If your issue is the state, why not rail on the state instead of “Marxists,” some of whom are also opposed to the state? And much of the ideology on the left is ant-statist (Anarchist.).

All Leftists I know, seek political power to impose it on the whole of society. Of course, there are those who do it on a small scale, like those who choose to live in a commune, but by in large it is just a group of people trying to impose their views on how to live on everyone. And no, they could care less if Marx was a racist, but feign caring about the Founding Fathers being racist so they can use it to destroy the idea of a limited government they hate.
. Could you give us a specific example of a leftist you know and their specific desire to impose their ideology on everyone?

Both left and right want all to live by their values. The right has tried to prevent gays from marrying and women from having abortions. Neocons want an all-powerful military that imposes our interests all over the globe.

And the idea that the people pulling down statues are specifically statists or Marxist is just ignorant. Each individual who has participated in that has their own view but I can assure you that no protester I have met holds the view you described. You are just making guesses at motives of people you have no association with.

Christians don't go round canceling people for not thinking like they should.

Now it used to be that the church would go round burning people at the stake for not being PC, but I suppose it's the Left's turn.

LGTBQ would tend to disagree.

I'm Catholic and the Catholic Church was heavily involved with Alinsky organizing until it realized their roots in Marxism.
. Please describe Alinskey’s Marxist roots. It’s odd that you would reject a useful, effective system of organization and mobilization just because the person who developed it had a different philosophy from you.

You don't have to intimately know an individual to know the fruits of his actions
. Let’s look at the fruits of Alinskey’s actions, then. He organized a lot of people to take action and make meaningful change in their lives, in the areas those people decided were important. He was absolutely opposed to telling people what they should want or care about, he simply taught them how to band together and build power as people against powerful institutions that were exploiting them.

In his own words, he said he identified with demons. (Even if you don't believe in demons, you know their agenda.)
. Oh please. He didn’t believe in demons. He was agnostic and making a literary point that clearly went over your head.

Why would I go to a meeting--I own my house and have no desire to give it to the government.
Line I said, so that you can learn what Marxists actually want and what their true agenda is. For instance, you’d learn that they also own their houses and don’t want to give them to the government. I’m serious here - why aren’t you curious to hear directly from leftists and Marxists about what they believe and want?

Christians don't go round canceling people for not thinking like they should.

Neither does everyone on the left. This isn't something restricted to a particular form of politics, it has more to do with the marriage of social media with late capitalist markettng strategies in general.

Tell that to the Dixie Chicks, Monty Python, Target, Home Depot, Ford, Nike, J.C. Penny and Disney. And those are just the ones I can think of, off the top of my head.

Now it used to be that the church would go round burning people at the stake for not being PC, but I suppose it's the Left's turn.

Literally burning people to death, and calling people out on social media for poor behaviour - yeah, I can see how those to things are totally equivalent and equal in every way.

Saul Alinsky's mode of operation was to set people against each other. To make one group of the people "the enemy" and set out to attack that group to meet an ends. BLM is a good example. Make white people the enemy (systematic racism). Make it seem like there are only "victims" (black) and "oppressors" (white). There is no middle ground. (Quote from Alinsky) "The first and most important thing you can do to win this acceptance is to bait the power structure into publicly attacking you." Sounds like he's looking for a fight.
The protests around here only protests deaths of blacks by police, not death of blacks by other black individuals or deaths of whites by police. If they did that, then the "victim" agenda wouldn't exist.
I actually know people from communist countries. Everything is owned by the government. I knew a man who had to sneak and cut down a Christmas tree because all trees were owned by the government (along with everyone else). You're assigned a job and if you're not willing or able to do that job--you go to jail. Why do you think people in communist countries were so desperate to get to the US?

Well, it certainly worked for Trump.

They chose to rename themselves.
"Chicks" is derogatory toward women, they'll have to drop that too. It equates women with chickens. (Just kidding :p )

Fantastic. Thank you for that.

I've never actually seen him interviewed. Its inspirational what a thoughtful, articulate, passionate advocate for the downtrodden and havenots he was.
If you like it at the expense of others, then congrats to you. You're in good company...
"Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins— or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom —Lucifer." —SAUL ALINSKY
