Lets look at
Colossians 3:15 and 16 again
"15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful."
This exposition of yours is another demonstration of how absurd and perverted your interpretations are.....
If men come together as "one body" in assemblies and they do not have Gods peace ruling in their hearts they are then in a restless spirit or the flesh and sin.
Here you are again eisegetically reading your own ideas into scripture.
"Which also ye are called in one body" is nothing to do with church meetings. There is no mention of "men coming together in assemblies" as you claim. Unquestionably "one body" is a reference to the body of Christ, the universal Church:
1 Cor 12:12-13 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,
Rom 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ,
1 Cor 10:16-17 The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body:
Peace implies silence in his words and believers coming before God in silence and waiting on the Lord for all good things.
It implies nothing of the sort. Having the "peace of God" is nothing to do with being silent and waiting. It says the peace of God is to rule "
in your hearts", not in your tongues! To have the peace of God is to experience calmness and tranquility even in a world of turmoil and worry:
Phil 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
The word the KJV has translated 'careful' (merimnaó) means to be anxious. Having the peace of God is to have our hearts and minds guarded from all anxiety. The “peace of God” will thus calm down any agitated element of our hearts. It "rules in our hearts" as a ruler sways and controls the passions of his people.
they also are to examine themselves in silence in the meetings as we read
1 Corinthians 11:28
"But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup."
and this self examining can be as we gather in ministry and all things as well, for Paul said to the Corinthians
There is nothing whatsoever about waiting in silence in that verse, let alone waiting for a revelation. It is referring to examining yourself before partaking of the Lord's supper so as not to do so unworthily.
"16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."
Then, after they have examined themselves and come to let Gods peace rule in their heart to dispell the darkness and busy restlessness of their carnal minds can they hope to have any edification for themself or others in Christ . They also will need confession and self examination in this process at times. . Then, when they “let” the peace of God “rule” in thier hearts, they are to be called together in one body. This refers to the assembly of the saints and the way all are to walk in God's order here.
There is no "then" or "after" connecting v15 & v16 as you claim. They are completely separate stand-alone exhortations. Nor is there any mention of "examining yourselves". Nor, as we've seen, is there any mention of assembling together. Yet again you are reading your own words and ideas into scripture.
Where Jesus Christ is in believers he speaks His word as well. Yes the word can be heard in our spirit and as we also hear from scripture. But the inward work is of God working in us.
As I've previously explained, the 'word of Christ' is not an inner revelation. It is clearly the teachings of Christ as spoken by himself and his spokesmen the Apostles through the scriptures.
Matt 26:27 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Acts 15:35 Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preachingthe word of the Lord, with many others also.
Acts 16:31-32 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
Acts 19:10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
1 Thes 1:6-8 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost...For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.
2 Thes 3:1 - Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
1 Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
