touching yourself - yes/no?

Yay, another thread about jerkin'.

Let me answer your question. When you touch are you pleasing your flesh or God's spirit? For if you please the flesh you are grieving the spirit that has guaranteed you the inheritance God has promised us. It does say in the Bible to please the spirit and not our fleshy desires. We need to be careful with terms. 'Flesh' does not mean our human desires, sexual or any other one. The term refers to anything apart from Spirit enabled life. It can include our religious life where that is mere form or doctrine.

One's view on masturbation must be guided by an understanding of that terms within some clear biblical principles, and not subsumed under any inaccurate biblical concepts. That is not helpful.

So when you eat are you pleasing the flesh, or Gods spirit? When you massage your stiff neck are you pleasing the flesh, or Gods spirit? When you enjoy the aroma, and taste of a morning cup of coffee are you pleasing the flesh, or Gods spirit?
