Some common replies might be:

We are saved by Grace through Faith.
We are saved by having correct doctrine.
We are saved by works and faith.
We are saved by accepting Jesus into our heart.

Notice , with each reply it is all based on human effort.

yet, scriptures' also say all are saved by the work of Christ.

So which is it, efforts and works of people or efforts and works of Christ ?

State your view and why you believe it is true.

Thanks !

In my faith (no church affiliation) to be saved you need to believe accordingly.

Understand the sacrificial law in the Old Testaments and apply them to Christ. Understand that God is not calling those who are well, you need to acknowledge your self as the worst, as it is the unworthy who are saved. Believe he took all our life long sins at the Jordan through his baptism from John (Christs baptism, not the believers baptism) and that he died paying the wages of sin off fully once for all at his crucifixion fulfilling sacrificial law perfectly. Belief in the resurrection. Belief Christ is God and is with God. You also must receive the Spirit after believing, or you are not accepted by God. You wouldn't ask for forgiveness of sins, rather you would believe for the forgiveness of sins. Once forgiven you are sinless.

Now I am not saying that is human effort. Frankly you give up all self righteousness and believe in his righteousness. But if you do not have faith you can't please God unfortunately. No other way around that.

You can't be saved by your works.. but you produce works after being saved too. I pretty much hit all your bulletins you gave

Salvation is another word for deliverance isn't it?

I believe we are saved, are being saved and are going to be saved. It's not just a once off thing. IMO, all the work is done by Christ as He opens me to receive His work and to walk in it.

If we do anything it's because He has initiated it.

We are "saved" by all aspects as you've listed, and then enduring to the end.
The Sacrament proves that we are not 'saved' in a one time event. We must continually recommit and purify ourselves to being therefore perfect even as the Father as commanded.

So , you are saying if I understand correctly , that we are saved by one act of Christ, but are in the process of being purified by our commitment to Christ ?
