I wonder if he’s even reading the passage. It’s Paul giving hypothetical situations of himself, it’s not about anyone in particular. It’s Paul saying if I did this or if I had this but I didn’t have love then it wouldn’t be of any benefit.

I read it in context with the rest of scripture

Paul is not talking about losing salvation, He is talking about losing his ability to work. and do anything for God

Yeah we’ve been thru this before. What it equates to is God choosing us according to His choosing us which is circular and doesn’t make any sense at all. God chose us according to His foreknowledge of choosing us is what it amounts to. It’s gibberish that doesn’t make any sense.

2. Since God is omniscient and Transends time, He knows all of us before we are even born. and knows our whole life and verything we will do

So god predestined those HE KNE would come to faith. to be conformed to his image.

Except it was Paul who said it but that’s fine if you want to say that God said it then you still have to contend with God saying that if Paul was to deny Christ then Jesus would deny Paul. So you’re still in the same boat except now you have conflicting statements from God. One saying that He will “guarantee” a true believer’s salvation and another saying the exact opposite.

You’re slipping more and more towards Calvinism now because now you’re saying that believing is a work that God does, not us. Just so you know, faith (pistis) and believe (pisteuo) are the same word, they both mean the same thing. Pistis is the noun form and pisteuo is the verb form. It’s kind of like the word drink you can drink something, verb form and you can have a drink, noun form.

Paul said he could leave the church and you think that somehow creates some sort of alternative timeline that changes Paul’s past and erases the fact that Paul was a true believer but that only happens if he was to leave the church. But if he doesn’t leave the church then the timeline isn’t altered and he always was a true believer. It’s the most ridiculous idea I’ve ever heard of. What we choose to do in the future somehow alters our past. That’s your theology, own it.

I asked for verses that say that someone is saved if they HAD faith, not HAS faith because you’re saying that if we are FAITHLESS we’re still saved.

To be faithless is to lack faith in areas of our lives. But it does not mean we deny him.

He can not deny himself. the promise of eternal life is on him, and his promise, he he takes back eternal life. he in effect deny's himself. because he could not keep his promise

Right here you’re saying that if we are FAITHLESS we’re still saved. So show me that verse that says that if we HAD faith, past tense, that we will be saved. It doesn’t exist because as I’ve already demonstrated in Colossians 1:22-23 in order for us to be presented Holy and blameless before The Father we have to REMAIN STEADFAST IN OUR FAITH IN THE GOSPEL.

If we are faithless He is faithful to do what He said He would do to those who deny Him for He cannot deny Himself, in other words, He cannot go back on His word. Danthemailman gets it.

You can’t even keep your story straight. First you say if we don’t abide in Christ we were never in Christ, your interpretation of 1 John 2:19, now you’re saying that if we do abide in Christ we’re trying to save ourselves by works. Your theology is so all over the place you can’t even keep up with it.
