True, and they got sentences to match. Half of the misdemeanor sentences involve no jail time.
As has been stated several times, the capitol police chief stated barricades were removed inviting entrance, and escorts were given by capitol police

The initial lead prosecutor on the Jan 6th event stated that any person that wasn't violent or causing destruction that entered the capitol wasn't to be charged with a crime

Speaker Mike Johnson has released all the surveillance video, and Tucker Carlson televised much on those within the capitol, the vast majority were peaceful and many were guided about the building by capitol police, the leftist false narrative is in the trash can

The Jan 6th prosecution was a political hit job against many peaceful Trump supporting conservatives, it's that simple

The fantasy that most of the insurrectionists were welcomed in is just that - fantasy. I asked you once for proof about protesters being welcomed in, and all you could produce was a weak, edited video that for all we know, the cop gave up or was one that ended up fired.

This does not look like they were welcomed in or obeying the law:

The former prosecutor who oversaw the initial response to the Capitol Riot in early 2021, Michael Sherwin, said he had rejected many potential trespass cases at the outset of the investigation because suspects did not engage in violence, property damage or pushing over barricades.

“That changed when I left. I don’t know who authorized it, but I refused,” Sherwin said in an interview. “I had a bright-line rule … that people should not have been charged if they just walked in through an open door.”

Judge issues the first outright acquittal of a defendant charged over the Jan. 6 riot

April 7, 2022

The judge, however, said video shows two police officers standing near the Rotunda doors and allowing people to enter as Martin approached. One of the officers appeared to lean back before Martin placed a hand on the officer's shoulder as a possible sign of gratitude, the judge said.

McFadden described Martin's testimony as "largely credible." The judge said it was not unreasonable for him to believe that officers allowed him to enter the Capitol, even though alarms were blaring and broken glass was strewn about the floor.

Yeah, that is why they had to break in through windows and fight capitol police.

From https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/press-release/file/1355996/dl

At such time, the certification proceedings still underway and the exterior doors and windows of the U.S. Capitol were locked or otherwise secured. Members of the U.S. Capitol Police attempted to maintain order and keep the crowd from entering the Capitol; however, shortly after 2:00 p.m., individuals in the crowd forced entry into the U.S. Capitol, including by breaking windows and by assaulting members of the U.S. Capitol Police, as others in the crowd encouraged and assisted those acts. Shortly thereafter, at approximately 2:20 p.m. members of the United States House of Representatives and United States Senate, including the President of the Senate, Vice President Mike Pence, were instructed to—and did—evacuate the chamber

The delusion that the events involving the protesters of Jan. 6th, 2021 was in any way legal and justified, as described by the right, is staggering.

The vast majority that entered the capitol building were peaceful, and entrance was allowed by capitol police as post #243 above clearly describes

Yes the capitol police chief clearly stated officers removed barricades and escorted participants about the building

And yet:

More than 1,230 people have been charged with federal crimes in the riot, ranging from misdemeanor offenses like trespassing to felonies like assaulting police officers and seditious conspiracy.

Of those 1,230, 730 pleaded guilty. On;y two were found not guilty and were decided by a judge and not a jury.

I mean this is just the epitome of peaceful protest and of Capitol police welcoming in the insurrectionists:

No, the vast majority were not welcomed in, and the barricades were not willfully removed by the Capitol police and nor happily escorted in. The cops were overwhelmed.

In this case, an officer pushes a protester to get him to follow him - but it was to lead him away from the Senate Chamber:

Folks need to stop with the lie that the protest was in any way legal or justified. It was criminal. Those entering after pushing through barricades, overwhelming officers, breaking windows, stealing, vandalizing, and assaulting Capitol police are criminals.

Who cares? They were overshadowed by the evil criminal thugs who spoiled it for everybody, Please stop with the gaslighting. Jan 6th was a coordinated attack on the Capitol in order to stop the certification of Biden's legitimate win as President. Trump was the loser, and has continued to become the biggest loser of all time....and unwise people keep sending him money! He will end up in prison and the poor house, and this will be a partial justice for all the harm he has done to the country.

The stupidest people I’ve ever met, my “good Christian conservative” relatives, are split on Jan 6. Half of them believe it was all Antifa, half of them believe it was all Trump supporters, but that they were justified.

None of them believe that it was mostly peaceful Trump supporters, because while they all have the IQ of a box of rocks, they have working eyeballs…

Ask them why Trump considers a bunch of ANTIFA agents as hostages? That can only mean Trump supports ANTIFA. LOL

It is not difficult to understand that most of people in the crowd in the back had the sense to not take a part of what was going on. The ones with the agendas were in the front, or found their way to the front. The ones with the agendas pummeled the police and broke into the Capitol.

"No" the criminal thugs don't make the majority of peaceful attendees guilty as you suggest

Jan 6th wasn't a coordinated attack, nobody had guns at the event, except capitol police that were inviting attendees through the rotunda door, and giving escorts of the capitol building inside, smiles!

Do you salute the thugs?
Those who participated in assault, violence, and vandalism of capitol property deserve their punishment

The fact is these vandals and thugs were in the vast minority of attendees at the capitol, the majority were peaceful attendees

The Jan 6th as told by the MSM is a farce, same 20 pictures of the vandals and thugs over and over, as they withheld the pictures and video footage of the majority peaceful and patriotic attendees

Reality Check, the video surveillance footage the Jan 6th committee withheld has been exposed, and that includes the false narrative to go with it

All who went past the barricades and ignored orders from the Capitol Police to leave violated the law and are criminals. ALL of them.
I watched all the video that has been released and the cops who stood back while people entered were saying they were not suppose to enter and need to leave. They were overwhelmed in numbers.

Not true. At least three were found to have guns on them in the Capitol grounds. Christopher Michael Alberts of Maryland. Guy Reffitt of Texas and Lonnie Coffman of Alabama were found to have guns on them. The actual number of guns was unknown as most did not get arrested
Also, the protesters had weapons.

In the wake of the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, a popular narrative has emerged: that because rioters did not fire guns that day, they were not really "armed."
But a review of the federal charges against the alleged rioters shows that they did come armed, and with a variety of weapons: stun guns, pepper spray, baseball bats and flagpoles wielded as clubs. An additional suspect also allegedly planted pipe bombs by the headquarters of the Democratic and Republican parties the night before the riot and remains at large.
Those weapons brought violence and chaos to the Capitol. Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick died one day after two rioters allegedly sprayed him and other officers with what prosecutors describe as an "unknown chemical substance." Four other people in the crowd died in the insurrection, and more than 100 police officers suffered injuries, including cracked ribs, gouged eyes and shattered spinal disks.
Some supporters of former President Donald Trump have argued that the dangerousness of the Capitol rioters has been overblown. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., has said, for example, "This didn't seem like an armed insurrection to me.".......
Police officers have a much different memory of that day. "I've talked to officers who have done two tours in Iraq who said this was scarier to them than their time in combat," Robert J. Contee III, the acting chief of Washington, D.C.'s Metropolitan Police Department, said in January. At the time of his comments, he had just spoken with an officer who was attacked with a rioter's stun gun.
Federal court records, included in NPR's database of more than 300 criminal cases, allege that at least three dozen people who took part in the riot used or possessed some kind of weapon that day.
This number is likely a low estimate of the total number of weapons that rioters brought with them. As the Justice Department has noted in court filings, "no crowd member submitted to security screenings or weapons checks by Capitol Police or other authorized security officials." Most of the people who stormed the Capitol were not arrested during the riot itself. Many are still at large.

No the barricades were all around the Capitol and they were not ordered to remove them. They were knocked down.

Lie: The rioters were completely unarmed......

Facts First: It’s not even close to true that all of the people at the Capitol on January 6 were unarmed – and the claim is still false even if it is specifically about guns. People who illegally entered Capitol grounds during the insurrection were armed with a wide variety of weapons, including guns, stun guns, knives, batons, baseball bats, axes and chemical sprays. The Department of Justice said in an official update last week that so far “over 75” people charged in connection to the attack “have been charged with entering a restricted area with a dangerous or deadly weapon.”
..........

Lie: The rioters were invited into the Capitol by police

Facts First: The claim that the rioters were invited into the Capitol is false. Again, about 140 police officers were assaulted while trying to stop the mob from breaching the Capitol. There were hours-long battles between police and rioters near some entrances. CNN obtained footage from police body-worn cameras showing how dozens of officers engaged in hand-to-hand combat with rioters in a desperate effort to keep them out of the building.

There are plenty of instances where rioters waltzed into the Capitol without a fight, but only after they had stormed past barricades and, in some cases, even stepped through broken windows. In some areas, police were so outnumbered by the mob that they retreated, stood aside or tried to politely engage with rioters to de-escalate the situation rather than fighting or making arrests, but that is clearly not the same as welcoming rioters into the building...........

The Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol building by a pro-Trump mob left a police officer and a rioter dead. More than 50 members of the U.S. Capitol Police were injured, including 15 who required hospitalization, most of them with head wounds, according to Representative Tim Ryan, Democrat of Ohio.
Of all the scenes of violence, one of the most intense occurred during a struggle to breach a west-side door, during which multiple rioters dragged police officers out of a formation and assaulted them while they were trapped in the crowd.
a still from one video in that article:

Screenshot 2024-03-19 212221.png

May those who did these terrible things be brought to repentance, and may God forgive those who attempt to justify the mod actions of that day.

Hardly the proclaimed planned insurrection to overthrow the US government with the absence of firearms, while in the presence of a heavily armed police presence

The MSM Narrative Fails The Test
nope, you are wrong again.
And yes, Lonnie Coffman got 46 months in jail and 3 years of probation for his crime. So was Christopher Michael Alberts:

A Maryland man was sentenced today on multiple felony and misdemeanor convictions for his actions during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach. His actions and the actions of others disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the presidential election.

Christopher Michael Alberts, 35, of Pylesville, Maryland, was sentenced to 84 months in prison after he was convicted of nine charges, including six felonies, following a jury trial in the District of Columbia before the Honorable Christopher R. Cooper. In addition to the prison term, Judge Cooper ordered 36 months of supervised release and restitution of $2,000.

According to the government’s evidence, Alberts arrived at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, wearing a body armor vest containing metal plates, a two-way radio with a throat mic, and a military backpack containing eight bungee cords, a flashlight, a ski mask, a meal-ready-to-eat kit, a first aid kit, military trousers, and a pocketknife. That day, Alberts carried with him, in a holster, a 9-millimeter pistol loaded with 12 rounds of ammunition and an additional bullet in the chamber. Alberts also wore a separate holster containing an additional 12 rounds of ammunition, which included “hollow point” bullets.

Evidence at trial showed that Alberts arrived at the Capitol grounds at or near the time of the first breach of the Peace Circle at 12:57 p.m. and traveled through multiple bike rack barriers, past snow fencing and “area closed” signs. Separating other rioters from outmanned U.S. Capitol Police Officers at around 1:05 p.m., Alberts told the rioters, “we’ll get them soon.” Alberts donned a gas mask at around 1:20 p.m.

And wow, you information is bad, downright disingenuous, as Guy Reffitt was the first convicted:

WASHINGTON — Guy Reffitt, a Texan who prosecutors said “lit the match” of the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, was sentenced to 7 1/4 years in prison on Monday, the longest sentence of any rioter to date but less than what the Justice Department had pushed for.
Reffitt, a 49-year-old from Wylie, was the first rioter to to be convicted at trial in March when a jury found him guilty on five counts: two counts of civil disorder and one count each of obstruction of an official proceeding, entering and remaining on restricted grounds with a firearm and obstruction of justice.
Reffitt, who was a recruiter for the antigovernment movement The Three Percenters, never entered the Capitol but helped ignite the crowd “into an unstoppable force” against police officers who were attempting to protect the Senate wing doors, a prosecutor at the trial said. He was equipped with a handgun, body armor, a helmet, radio and flex cuffs.
“Reffitt sought not just to stop Congress, but also to physically attack, remove, and replace the legislators who were serving in Congress. This is a quintessential example of an intent to both influence and retaliate against government conduct through intimidation or coercion,” prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo.

You don't support your claims at all. If you are going to debate, you should back your claims up with credible support. You wrote:
"The three mentioned were after the event in the night, these are allegations with no convictions as of yet"
That was a plain falsehood as all three are convicted, and all three were there during the day.

It is dishonest at best to pretend that all those without guns were unarmed. Knives can kill, and so can fire extinquishers that are thrown at people.
