Valletta, you are speaking without regards to context. The Ezekiel 16 chapter is about Jerusalem at the time the Jews were about to go into Babylonian captivity.Whatever your interpretation, know that both references, Revelation and Ezekiel, are about Jerusalem. Match after match:
Revelation 11:7-8
7 And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends from the bottomless pit will make war upon them and conquer them and kill them, 8 and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city[a] which is allegorically[b] called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified. RSVCE
Jesus died in Jerusalem.
In Revelation 11, the reference to Jerusalem as a place likened to Sodom is that the two witnesses - messengers of God will be killed there by the beast. In Sodom, the two angel messengers of God were also approached by evil desires of the beasts, i.e the perverted residences of Sodom.
The likening of Jerusalem at the time of the beast's rule, is that Jerusalem will become a place a place of enslavement for the Jews.
Jerusalem at the time of Christ was not a friendly place for Christians, having crucified our Lord. The same will be true, under the reign of the beast, which at that future time Jews will be Christians.
Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The woman become harlot in Revelation 17 is the Vatican, associated with Rome. The Vatican became obsessed with power and killed many Christians during the inquisition, in her drunken state.
