How can I walk to a big box store, let alone needing to walk to two or three big box stores. These places are impossible without cars. I live in a place now where I can walk for a considerable amount of necessities. But before this home it was a 15 minute drive for EVERYTHING. Growing up there were some commercial streets served by busses where you could buy anything and everything.I want both. Corner stores in the cities, and downtowns, and big box stores in the suburbs. That's the way it should be.
But there's no reason why our billions of American dollars should be funneled out of this country, so that terrorists and dictators can live in splendor, while so many here live in squalor.
Suburban life is dictated by the planning that presumed everyone would have a car. So you can’t live in suburbia without a car - by design.
