There's this weird thing called "American History" that many of us who live here had to learn. It's always weird. The relationship between presidents and their VP's is COMMONLY one of distance. Perhaps you have heard of FDR who was the US President during the Great Depression and WWII. He kept his vice president (Harry S. Truman) at such arms length that Truman didn't even know about the atomic bomb when he took over part-way through WWII.

Ike (President Dwight Eisenhower) apparently really distrusted and disliked Richard Nixon (his vice president.)

But by all means I bet Kamala's absence is a sign that Trump should be President in 2024.
