I'm not blaming anybody in particular as I thought I had made clear. I merely made an observation based on my own experience which, if I cared could be backed up with survey data--but I don't care. I don't think you care either, you just don't want conservatives to take any of the "blame" because it spoils the conservative political narrative. If anybody really cared the means to solve that particular part of the immigration problem are lying ready to hand but disused.

OK, now that you are through blaming, consider the following proposals:

1. Make the use of e-verify mandatory.
2. Light a fire under ICE so they will start making a serious effort to round up visa overstays.

We will still have asylum seekers and refugees to deal with, but those two proposals will address more than half of the illegals in the country and require no major change in laws or policy.
