Does it not destroy or diminish the lives of the people already in need in the USA? Are they, who are citizens and have paid taxes, going to have their employment prospects and even necessary government assistance reduced so that people who have no stake in the USA, have paid nothing into our welfare, etc. systems, but who need food, clothing, housing, and so on and can get it from our government?
And how "Christian" is it when those in government who constantly claim to be the ones helping our poor and disadvantaged, instead make them poorer and more disadvantaged...and all because the newcomers are expected to vote for the political party of the officeholders who are doing this?
I don’t agree with your idea that these 11 million undocumented diminish the lives of US citizen. But that is for another day to argue. But even if it does diminish the life of US citizen, I can’t support sending back 11 million of people to their country and practice “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself”.
We have to find a solution that works for both.
