I agree. I was going to post something but I decided against it.

Sometimes I get too soft. I need to remember how people see me under the pleasantries.

Nor am I. I want a nice place in France with the family and the girl. l dipped a toe on the other side and the madness was an important reminder of what's important.

Super exhausted and pretty sure I will get to bed by 8:00 p.m. tonight. The 9.7 mile run yesterday really did me in and got to bed late.. going to preparing for camping coming up and possibly an 11 mile run in a couple days. Going out to support one of my friends that has been training for a marathon and be there for her in the morning. Another friend will join me for camping with her daughter.

No news with online dating as I have pretty much not been engaged. Too busy with my training and different social activities. Wow still trying to be safe and limited with my interactions with Delta still being a threat.

I mentioned you in today's musings. I was chewing last night and the Lord woke me up with a boom! He got me geeked!

We've discussed relationships here and there and this came out a few minutes ago.

I would love to have someone who's grounded. They know what the Lord wants and they're pursuing it intentionally. But they're not acting like they've arrived. They acknowledge growth and success but its proportioned to their reality. It isn't overblown.

---My cousins children were visiting the other week. They are so sweet. I say a lot children are so innocent & often get laughs from people who have had children, but it's so true. They haven't faced a lot of struggles & just view the world & everything so differently. Yeah they might throw tantrums or color on the wall, but there's a virtue to them that disappears at adolescence.

Chicken biryani would be a 'safe' choice

Chicken tikka masala (even though it's technically a British dish) is good

Butter chicken (see a theme here?)

Daal (lentils/chickpeas in a tangy, spicy sauce)

You can probably get lamb too, but lamb in Indian cooking is akin to 'mutton' here. We eat 'spring lambs' in the US, and other parts of the world eat them much older, so the meat is 'gamier' tasting. Still good, but heads-up.

Tons of vegetarian options. Indians know how to cook veggies.

I'm low-key jealous that you get to go to a meeting like this.

Yep, everyone's getting naan bread. I decided jalfrezi before you posted this b/c it says it's mix of vegetables & chicken. I'd have gone w/ a vegetarian option, but no tofu (is that even India?). Couple people getting masala.

I'm not really a picky eater, just no lamb & hopefully not too spicy

It is my experience that Indian restaurants that non-native folks eat in are not inherently spicy. Medium tends to be nice with a bit of 'bite', but it is a warming heat. The 'heat' can be upped by customer request and CAN get outrageous, but typically, medium is a safe bet. If in doubt, ask the wait staff.

Tofu is all over India. They know how to make that stuff taste good too...somehow. Sorcery?

Have you found a bible study you can participate in? A walking group would be fun. If you can't find a local one Fitbit has them everywhere. Maybe you can connect with others. They have several communities on the app.

Most of the things I post on my Good Vibes thread are activities I do or I'm interested in. I love crafts writing, sewing, cooking, homemaking, etc. I try to have a mix of solitary and group activities to stay engaged.
