Are you saying Atheists don't use social and legal pressures?
Exactly what social pressure do you believe the minority of the population whom are atheistic are using?

Follow the conversation? You'd have to, I don't know, actually follow the conversation.
Dude you are taking two different conversations and mashing them together, leaving out key details. and painting your own picture, that's dishonest, in fact it's a form of a lie.Follow the conversation?
well OK lets look at the conversation -
we get an OP link to a piece where at least 90% of the statements made are false.
you said "So we should enact laws to force Christians to behave they way you think they should behave? Especially so they won't try to enforce laws that make people behave they want them to behave."
I put this back on you "you mean enact laws that prevent discrimination?"
You claimed that preventing discrimination somehow causes discrimination. when you doubled down on that claim i asked: "Can you identify just what in the bill does cause discrimination?"
you gave no answer to that question instead going on about how it's impossible to have an honest conversation.
you went on to say "I'm trying to point out potential unintended consequences."
you got asked "what consequences are you talking about?"
no actual answer from you.
You did try to point back to the OP article when is rife with false claims and you tried to distract from the lies in the OP article "So if someone is legitimately concerned about their rights, is it wrong for them to voice those concerns, or should that be OK to discuss?"
You are concerned about your rights -what rights? No clue because you don't say.
You claim you can't voice concerns - what concerns? No clue because you don't say.
You got asked some pointed questions:
Do you believe that it should be legal for a business to fire someone for being LGBTQ?
Do you believe it should be legal for a hotel, apartment complex, mortgage company, home seller or realtor to deny housing to a person for being LGBTQ?
Do you believe that it should be legal for a school that receives public funding to expel or deny admission to someone for being LGBTQ?
Do you believe that it should be legal to refuse to seat someone on a jury because they are LGBTQ?
Do you believe it should be legal for a restaurant, store, medical office, attorney's office or other vendor to refuse service to someone simply because they are LGBTQ?
You didn't answer any of them choosing to attack the person doing the asking
another poster asked you, again, to spell out just one of your "legitimate concerns" that request was met with silence
you played the victim :"Ok, gotcha. You are right, anyone who disagrees with you is wrong end of discussion. "
so i asked just what are you disagreeing with.
No answer.
what a great conversation

Thoughts? What should our response be as Christians if this were to pass? What should our churches do in response?
Would you like to expand on that?
Under the Equality Act, disagreement is considered discrimination. It includes gay marriage, biological males competing in women's sports, and doctors performing procedures - like gender reassignments - that go against their conscience.
and then you go on to ignore facts and pump out an appeal to emotion. The main issue I have is the undercutting of basic biological common sense for the sake of appeals to emotion.
I hope you and other Pro Lifers will as willingly champion adequate taxpayer monies to care for all the living children. How much in extra taxes are you willing to contribute to the task? The main issue I have is the undercutting of basic biological common sense for the sake of appeals to emotion. As the father of a daughter, I am not sure how to prepare for her to compete in sports (if she has a desire to play) with males. How do I explain to my son or daughter why a member of the opposite sex is in the bathroom with them? Most importantly, how do I protect them from people who would use these "rights" to prey on children? Taxpayer-funded abortions need to simply be outlawed out right. The American people do not need to pay to kill babies.

The same way you would prepare her to play against girls who are larger, stronger, and/or more talented than her.
You explain transgenderism.
But why is this an issue? I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen another dude’s junk in a public bathroom. It’s not hard to avoid.
The same way you would protect them from anybody else. Do you see public restrooms as some sort of safe space impervious to abuse?
No, but we at least need to protect people from extremists who think LGBT s a mental illness. All spaces should be safe, unfortunately they aren't. We don't need to normalize mental illness like this...
why should it even be something a child has to deal - take the risk away.
Perhaps we should inquire into your lavatory excursions if you think this is a common occurrence? If you think it won't be show and tell time for some, now that's funny.
No, because they'd actually be girls and not boys.
I can count the number of times a girl has been in the boys bathroom. It was at a concert...and there was alcohol involved. The line to the men's was WAY shorter.

There not. And since this could just as easily happen now I'll ask you for your evidence that this somehow increases the likelihood of an assault. Frankly it looks like nothing more then baseless fear mongering.
