In civilised countries we put people on trial, and if they are found to have broken the law, then they are sentenced according to sentencing guidelines. That's what happens in the UK, and I'd guess it's similar in the USA.

What you are advocating is, effectively, for the court to be Twitter, followed by extra-judicial punishment, which is usually job loss. I've tried to explain to you in the other thread why this is wrong, and may even be counterproductive in terms of changing behaviour, but you seem set in your ways.
In this country we have “at will” employment. I’m not advocating for it, it’s what already exists! And I’m simply stating that fact, because people here seem really upset over this when people are fired for far less, all the time. Those same people usually also vote for politicians who keep at-will employment and say that employers should have that power. What I am advocating for is that racist language is evidence of racist attitudes, which absolutely negatively affect one’s workplace and coworkers. So therefore I see it like theft or drunkenness at work, it is a legit reason to fire someone. Not sure why I have to keep repeating myself...

No.We have enough political correctness coming down from a central government.
I’m talking about laws that would keep people from being fired, not laws that would cause people to be fired. Are you in support of laws that say people can only be fired for just cause and can challenge an unjust firing in court?

It all the same coin, just different sides

No, that is available now. I do not want more laws to define just or unjust firings.

Ah the latest victim of cancel culture. She's very brave, if I was in her position I don't think I would be tweeting or posting something like that until I was safe in retirement.

I wonder where she got those ideas?

I wouldn't want her teaching either. But not because I am black or white. But because Poor Children come in all colors and need understanding and support. I would fear she would give off an attitude to the children. All children

As an assistant principle she probably doesn't do classroom teaching.

Everyone living in America is 'privileged'.

Some just take better advantage of it than others. Some see age 65 and Social Security as the time to retire. Others have no intention of retiring then and see SS as another source of investment capital. :D

All for firing ppl for racist public statements or actions, which I consider gross misconduct and therefore meet the tests of just cause. As a union rep, I believe all workers deserve just cause protection. Where did I change my tune here?

What if those 'racist' statements are true?

Whites are not the only people who make public racist statements. I think blacks have privilege to make them without notice though

I don't see a problem. Companies fire such people because those comments reflect poorly on their company. I don't see how that would reflect poorly on the school however. I would consider it just part of a vigorous debate on social issues.

Just cause protection is the same as not having just cause protection? How?

No, unless people have a union, in the U.S. there is no just cause protection.

With all due respect- do you know what we’re talking about? Do you know what just cause protection is?

The comments reveal an attitude that would be carried into the workplace.

She might not be the only one with those opinions at that school.

But it’s unions who protect much of that activity outside of work from being subject to discipline. I’m not sure what you mean about unions stepping outside the workplace?
"All for firing ppl for racist public statements or actions, which I consider gross misconduct..... etc." That is what I meant. Do you mean that you wish the unions would punish those who make public comments that you dislike?

And also an alarming susceptibility to far right fairy tales instead of a fact-based relationship with reality.
Far right, far left, two sides of the same coin. Hitler was a socialist, by the way.
