SkyWriting said: "My claim is that local government IS God's will"

So first of all which 'local government' are we talking about ? For the purpose of this reply we will use whichever local government is in place where you live, for that to be the case that 'it is God's will' then one would have to assume that you live in some idyllic Christ led community, and that their laws are 100% in sync with God's ! What about Christians living in Islamic countries ? Is shariah law, which could very possibly be the law of their 'local government' be God's will for them to live under ?

Gods written code of conduct is obsolete and the new code of conduct is your local laws, whatever they might be. God's old written code is obsolete.

Tell me, you who want to be under the law,
are you not aware of what the law says? (Galatians 4:21)

So who are you saying made God's laws obsolete, man or God ?

If man dares to usurp God's law with his own does this mean as followers of God we must cease to obey God's laws and obey man's alone ?

Please make yourself clear on this issue, and of course laws implemented by local governments differ from locality to locality, pretty much everything you are saying fails to make any sense whatsoever, either that or I am severely docile...

3“But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD. I will put My law in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they will be My people. 34 No longer will each man teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD.

I can limit it to one at your request:

Romans 13:1-7

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.

That passage is not saying that God's laws are obsolete. It is saying that we are to submit to the ruling powers in the manner that is right and reasonable. But it does not say that we are submit to them without question and even if they tell us to do something that goes against.

1 Peter 2:13-14
Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good.
Context Here

The context above also says this:

18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust. 19 For this is a gracious thing, when, mindful of God, one endures sorrows while suffering unjustly. 20 For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure?

So, again, the reasoning in both Peter and Paul do not include the notion that God's laws are obsolete. Neither of them make that case. We are to be good citizens, but nowhere does it say we are to submit unquestioningly.

This is a lousy excuse for you trying to make a case for abortion.

The New Testament includes 655 quotes from the Old Testament...each one used and applied totally out of context, with not one Christmas Tree complaint.
Unlike you, the 655 quotes from the OT are not taken out of context and misapplied the way you are doing. You are perverting the Bible to justify the abomination of abortion. You will stand in judgment for that.

You still following the Torah?

Hebrews 9:15
Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.

Hebrews 8:6
But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.

Hebrews 8:13
In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away
The NT is written on the foundation of the Torah and does not abrogate the moral standards of the Torah.

Abortion is murder and is as forbidden in the NT as it would be in the OT. If you support abortion, you are outside of Bible and outside the authentic Christian faith.

The Law of God is now in my heart and not written in Ink.

2 Corinthians 3:7
Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses' face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end,

2 Corinthians 3:3
And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

Yes, and this passage does:

My moral standards are now in MY heart, and not found in your heart or in Ink.

Of the 655, all are out of the original context and no one complains about use in context, not one time.

Here is one passage that is OFF THE WALL out of context:
2 Corinthians 11:3
I am afraid, however, that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may be led astray from your simple and pure devotion to Christ.

So a serpent deceiving a woman is the context for any people who do not love Jesus? How is that in context? Because the writer applies it to a different situation.

It sure is hard to follow that idolatry law when you treat the government like it's infallible.

Even scripture does not claim it is infallible. It's says that following local law is God's will for us, just as Jesus taught us during His trial and execution.

We are tasked with following local law becasue:
Mark 3:24
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

So do you wish those early church martyrs should've just sucked it up and did a few rituals for the pagan gods? Maybe they should've kept their religion hidden if it caused so much hostility. It's the loving thing to do right?

That does not say that God's laws are made obsolete.

True, and this does:

Hebrews 8:13
In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

2 Corinthians 3:1-18
Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you, or from you? You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all. And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God

The loving thing to do is written on my heart. Not in ink or stone.
For this reason we are not qualified to judge others.

Jude 1:6
