Yes, one of my major problems is people pleasing too. I do it far too often. Then I get mad at those who talked me into it, but really it is my own fault!
I get mad at myself, very grumpy inside, when I am trying to lose weight and the scales don't show what I want! Still trying. I'll get there and I believe we both will.

The Bible says to confess our sins to one another, so I confess I am embarrassed to check in because I have lost no more weight. I confess it's my own fault too, no excuses. Sigh.

However, I haven't given up! I am praying for insight and strength on what to do. I have always gotten help from the Father before when I wanted to lose weight, and I trust Him to help me this time, too.

Did you overeat, or did you just not lose weight? There is a huge difference! Your body can be adjusting things, or building muscle, which each can cause weight gain or plateau. Don't be discouraged!

I did weigh myself this week. I think I lost some weight, like maybe a pound or two. I weigh a few pounds less than I did on the Dr.'s scales awhile back. I don't have my scales calibrated to their scales though, so I am not really sure how things are officially going. All I do know is that I am working on my overeating and making some progress.

However, I am not really discouraged. As I said earlier, I have done a lot of yoyo dieting in the past, but I have always lost the weight I wanted to lose when I prayed effectively.

That is so great that one of us is making progress, namely you! :) "Some progress" is progress.

Oh, thanks for your confession then!

I have found something called Cashew Milk that has a quarter of the calories per cup than milk does and is made by a company called SILK. I don't know if it is available where you are, but if not, maybe something like it might be. It is unsweetened and has no sugar in it. You can just drink it too, if you like. I have found it to be helpful and something enjoyable.

SpiritSong Cashew milk sounds yummy. The problem is, for me, that cashews are acidic and I have to be sure to stay alkaline or I lose energy.

But, while I was researching cashew milk I was helped by incidentally by seeing research on almond milk, which is both alkalizing and keto friendly. I have felt led to go keto, but didn't see how I could do that with low blood sugar issues. However, yesterday it seems I may have found a way. And, thanks to you mentioning cashew milk, leading to info about almond milk, maybe I've found another way.

I just wanted to share that we had a pot luck at church today and I did not overeat or have any dessert. It was a kind of sad experience too, as someone was leaving for college and the pot luck was in her honor.

Anyway, it was just nice to go to this event and just have one plate of food, no more, and no dessert. I feel I handled it well!

SpiritSong Well, I did lose another pound, for a total of 2 pounds. So far I have been losing weight more slowly than when I dieted in the past, but still am grateful for what has gone. Thanks for your prayers. I do feel they help.

Christine Well, I haven't researched all the ins and outs of it, but I have heard somewhere that eating more meals in a day is more conducive to weight loss than eating less meal.

depends how big the meals are, lol

Well, I have lost another pound. I have been good about sticking to the diet I have, which is a modified keto diet that so far is not leaving me feeling tired at all. However I am praying to be able to tweek it in some way that leads to faster weight loss but still causes no fatigue from low blood sugar.

Well, praise be to the Father, to my big surprise in the last two days I lost another 1 3/4 pounds. I feel He has been leading me on how to lose weight without losing energy. I also prayed for holy angels to be sent from Heaven to help me get rid of fat. Well, they are called "ministering spirits" in the Bible and we re told they are here to help us!

Praise God! I am losing weight too. I did not write down my weight so I am not sure how much, but I think I lost about 3 pounds in the last 2 weeks or so, maybe more.

I have not gotten up and eaten in the middle of the night now for 2 nights, and 2 nights before those I did not do so either. It is getting easier to do other things when I wake up and cannot go back to sleep. (I get insomnia sometimes).

You are doing great on more than one front! I'm so glad.

As for insomnia, I bet you already know about melatonin, but have you tried some essential oils? Lavender is famous for helping people sleep. I used a roll on right under my nose before I got to bed, mixed with some Y'Ling Y'Ling. If I wake up in the middle of the night and feel restless then I use more and it always works.

Just a thought.

I have been a yoyo dieter most of my adult life. Recently my weight has climbed to the highest ever. Part of the problem, I believe, is that I have been having problems with hypoglycemia. When my blood sugar gets low I lose all energy and feel bad mentally and physically, but if I eat (more than I should) then my energy comes back. I have been researching and working on keeping blood sugar stable, though. So, hopefully, I am ready to get thin.

Is there anyone who would like to be part of a support group for weight loss here? Like me you don't have to tell what you weigh right now, unless you want to.

My current idea is that we just keep using this string with our updated reports and pray for one another..

We can report how much weight we have lost and give praise for that and encouragement to others.

PS. If you are drinking "Soda", get off of it. I used to be 185 lbs. I cold-turkeyed the soda (used to drink 3-litres (not 2, but 3)) and lost the weight, down to 130 (where I was before all that).
