I know Julius Caesar was around 5 foot 6 inches and he was considered a tall man.

All those Roman and Greek icons were manlets.

Just like everyone now regardless of their height will be a manlet to 22end century women.

Leonardo da Vinci's skeleton was measured at 5'8. Some sources, however, put his height at 6'4. He must've been a giant compared to Renaissance Italians!

Some sources? How do they get 6'4 out of a 5'8 skeleton?

As far as human height goes... it can vary pretty extremely within a few hundred years. Really depends on diet. Same might be true for developed brain size.

There was a replicated cabin with handmade furniture inside it. The beds were short and the chairs and tables were small. It was similar in size to upper elementary classroom chairs. They said it was made to be an authentic representation of the furniture sizes at the time.

Julius Caesar still kicked more butt than all the men on the bodybuilding forums. He conquered Gaul for crying out loud!

Back in Ancient Greece, wasn't being intelligent just as important as being strong? The ancient Greeks studied philosophy and Aristotle science while most of the users on bodybuilding forums write and act like their IQ is in the double digits.
Are you seriously trying to compare Julius Caesar to modern bodybuilders? Lol

Lol, I notice a lot of people on those body builder forums are also short. If you're short it really helps to at least have more defined muscles than the average person. Also one good aspect of being short is that it's often easier to look ripped than a taller person.

I'm comparing him to the users you see on bodybuilding forums, a forum full of meatheads whose pride and joy are their tall and beefy bodies.

On another note, if you were to see a photo of my great grandfather wearing a muscle shirt during his prime, you'd notice how incredibly toned his arms are. Modern day people have to exercise constantly to have arms that powerful while people back then already had them because they had to do everything manually.
Eh, they put in hard work by hitting the gym basically daily and timing nutrients perfectly, meal prep, etc. They sacrifice good tasting food and physical pleasure for their lifestyle/sport.

Anyone thinks it's easy, or that short people can easily look like that, I invite ya to go ahead and try. No need to hate on an entire group of people for what is usually just envious purposes.

I think there are some angry short men there (which I can sympathize with).. although overall I think most are decent people there. Some are just like trolling for endearment. It's probably a heavy testosterone place too, with all the psychology that goes along with it.

It's not so much a jealousy thing, it's just disdain for their poor writing skills and lack of humility they usually show. Lurking through the forums, I pretty much see the type of guys who would call me homophobic slurs because I'm not the sporty, womanizing kind of person like they are.
Most of those guys are in uni with good paying jobs and are successful in those ways. Same with people at my gym and other gyms I've been to. It's not a poor or dumb man's sport because of the amount of calories one needs to build and sustain the muscle, knowledge needed to build one's body in scienfically proven ways, etc.

And having actually been a member of that forum in the past and interacting with them, yes there's a bro culture there but that's not all there is to them.

I encourage everyone to try working out.. I have for the past several months and my body looks better than ever. If you hit the right mindset it's not too troublesome either. Don't over do it, and remember little baby steps are better than nothing and certainly better than just backsliding.
