It looks like I'm a little late on this.... but welcome back Miles.

Hey, Mark. What's new with you? I seem to recall you were working on an engineering degree, or something along those lines.

I prefer Dr Pepper to root beer. But I don’t drink soda anymore, so the point is kinda moot beer.

I once worked for a company that served Mr Pibb in the cafeteria. That's when I discovered I prefer it to Dr Pepper.

And then there's Dr Thunder, Dr Perky, etc.

Not that I drink much soda these days. I took a long break from the stuff. Now it's more of an occasional thing, when having pizza or hot dogs & hamburgers.

Yeah, even I have to admit that Dr. Pepper was my favorite back when I drank soda. It's been years since I've had it, or any regular soda.

I don't crave it anymore since I've been 'soda-sober' for so long, but occasionally I like something carbonated to get that fizz/burn. I just drink some Perrier water with fruit slices.

Some words of wisdom as a former MA student to live by:

Richard doesn't advise taking "combatives" (martial arts like Krav Maga, etc) for any reason but exercise or general self-improvement, unless you're going into a job in which fights are routine. "[T]he average civilian out there who takes taekwondo three times per week, gets their black belt in some strip mall, and all of a sudden thinks they can defend themselves against a psycho is dreaming."

OMM: I'm going to try spending less time online with more of my online time dedicated to whatever I'm working on (a drawing right now). I've been thinking that maybe spending too much time on CF is the reason why I keep having negative thoughts and lacking creativity, because it makes me think about all the things I read about too much. No worries, I'm not leaving because I definitely still want to keep in touch with all of my friends. I'll still be around some every day, at least to check on things, post in my Positive Thread, and look at the Bible Read Thread. I have asked God to give me the strength to carry this out; yesterday I spent less time online and more time drawing and I also thought about my upcoming stories some, which was very exciting! God is good and I trust Him!

Yeah, I'm working as a manufacturing engineer now. With a temporary pit stop as a supervisor (currently). I imagine that you're still working in IT, IIRC?
