So I just bought a harness and leash for my kittens. I have reached the Master Jedi level of crazy cat lady.
I did this too. Unfortunately as soon as I take her outside in it she howls and screams until I bring her back inside. Not an outdoor kind of kitty.

Took a break to pick up some firewood from a neighbor, since everyone's putting out debris for brush collection this week. Added them to the pile of stuff to burn, and even found a new chair I can use:

Edit: I keep getting these two WOYM threads mixed up, haha.

I wish my two young ones weren't interested in the outdoors like your cat. Simplifies everything (except I hate having a litterbox). But they're veeerrrryyy eager to go out. They actually do pretty well in their harnesses, they just don't like 'Mom' hovering over them leading them around. They're like toddlers that don't want their mother to hold their hand. :D

watching a news story about how we need to disinfect everything and a business who comes in and does a disinfecting service. they spray chemicals everywhere to kill bacteria....

let's be healthy, but living in a a disinfectant bubble is not healthy.

Exposure to germs allows your immune system to develop resistance against germs. I used to get sick all the time as a child because of my poor immune system and eventually it got strong enough for me to work at a recycling depot full of filthy exposure on a daily basis.

Just wash your hands, shower every day, and you'll be fine.

meh, even that is overkill. :)

I just take a dip in the stream after beating my clothes against the rocks.

:ahah: Lol. Thank you, Jesus, for washing machines. I'd be okay to go back in time to experience the days of old, but as soon as the laundry piles up I'm out.

Wait, wait, wait...shower EVERY day? I thought that was only once per month.
I wish some people would learn to do just that much.
This isn't the 16th century, little buddy.

showering every day is overkill. Unless you work out, work outdoors, or for some reason come into intimate contact with large amounts of garbage, it's unnecessary.

I take a shower when I'm dirty. I work outdoors, so that's generally when I get home. But on my off-days, generally I'm sitting around an air-conditioned house all day reading or studying.

And I never get sick.

As a famous comedian once said, you only need to wash the 4 key areas. your armpits, your butt, your crotch, and your teeth. And if you want to save a whole lot of time, you can simply use the same brush on all four areas ;)
