I love how we were just discussing Dr. Pepper and now it's suddenly turned to bacteria and how often we should scrub our 'hot spots'.

I live for this crap.
lol. hot spots?

I'm sorry. it was a thing on the news about how you should have your office sprayed daily by professionals with disinfectant chemicals.

Yeah, I'm working as a manufacturing engineer now. With a temporary pit stop as a supervisor (currently). I imagine that you're still working in IT, IIRC?
Cool.

I'm still working in IT, and enjoying it, but doing more with 3D printing. Designing mounting brackets and other components in SolidWorks. Now I'm thinking about going into computer hardware engineering, or running some kind of makerspace. I wanted to do mechanical or electrical when I was younger, but got distracted by other things. Better late than never, I suppose.

new crocodile dundee movie coming out...was a big fan of previous installments. looking forward to this one too.

nevermind. looks like the "trailer" that was put out was just a publicity stunt for the superbowl. that's too bad. i was wondering why hugh jackman was slated to be in it though. /headscratch

Guys, remember when we met Ellen DeGeneres?

#ThrowbackThursday

Hopefully this years Oscars won't be as cringy as this drawing...But I doubt it.

This is awesome, but I only recognize about half of you. Who is the smiling blonde-haired lady in the front row? ;) But seriously I can pick out MrMoe, MehGuy, Toro, Owlette, and Strider from back in the day. A few are familiar, but I haven't interacted with much while I've been officially back.

OMM: I'm going to try spending less time online with more of my online time dedicated to whatever I'm working on (a drawing right now). I've been thinking that maybe spending too much time on CF is the reason why I keep having negative thoughts and lacking creativity, because it makes me think about all the things I read about too much. No worries, I'm not leaving because I definitely still want to keep in touch with all of my friends. :) I'll still be around some every day, at least to check on things, post in my Positive Thread, and look at the Bible Read Thread. I have asked God to give me the strength to carry this out; yesterday I spent less time online and more time drawing and I also thought about my upcoming stories some, which was very exciting! God is good and I trust Him!

Sounds like a good plan. I did something like that, and it was beneficial. There's a lot to be said for maintaining balance in life.

Had to install Linux on my computer for a programming course I'm doing, but it doesn't work with my network card, so I log back into Windows and download the Linux drivers for it, but to install them it seems I need to somehow get online from within Linux and find a tool to compile them as it's choking up when I try to run sudo on the makefile. So I'll probably have to just get another network card. It's 2018. We should be beyond this by now. Why can't computers be as straightforward as my smartphone?

I should probably get a flu shot, but the last time I had one I got sick.

Sounds familiar.

Learn C well enough, and write your own drivers.

I'd like to try that someday, but my skills aren't there yet. For Linux, I usually spec out the hardware ahead of time.

Really starting to think about taking a trip somewhere new and exciting for my 30th birthday next year. So many choices though. However, I'm seriously considering a trip to Washington state that revolves around hiking.

Road trip, or flying?

I still think about driving across the US. Maybe up through the Midwest, and then down to Southern California, visiting family along the way. The original plan was to do this after graduation, but for various reasons I never got around to it.

Depending on how sick you got, getting the flu may be worse, especially since the flu is so bad this year. Are you sure the shot is what made you sick?
The flu shot didn't get him sick. They're saying that the flu is so bad this year that even though people are getting the vaccination they're still getting it.
