The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I'm tired of the wicked prospering while righteous people like myself suffer for naught...
Be careful placing yourself above others. Have self worth, but don't put others down to do so.
Self worth? Thanks but you're not making any sense. Can you please explain?
Self esteem. Liking yourself. Being proud of yourself and accomplisments.
What accomplishments? I have accomplished nothing in my life worth talking about
Just an example of what self worth is. It all boils down to liking yourself.
But not placing yourself above others ("righteous like me") and putting others down ("wicked like them").
Religious, wealthy, political and well educated people seem to do this a lot firefly. Don't they? This thinking themselves better than others bit.
However to have liking for self because it is good to like, is healthy as far as i'm concerned.
The religious do this the most often in my experience. No offense. But a lot of religious people (not just Christians, but Muslims too) look down on gnostics and atheists and either decide to have nothing to do with that person or as someone to convert for Heaven Points.
But atheists are like that too. And nobody wants a calm and rational discussion or even view each other as equals, not some disease ridden person who is set out to destroy everyone.
Awoke feeling very sick. A loved one died yesterday and i been having her around talking to me despite being on anti-psychotics ever after i heard the news.
It seems so cruel how that goes. For in my psychotic mind it seems like she is stuck down here. i never thought of it like that until she came around and was so angry with me all the time. i couldn't understand why she would be angry all the time, we got on really well together. And then i heard the story about her death unfold later on. They are keeping her heart going, for she is an organ donor, until they can take the organs they want and need them.
My loved one being so angry all the time began to make more sense after that though i have never thought of us being trapped down here because our spirits are tied to our living bodies and cannot depart until our body lets go, i do now and never want to be a donor or my loved ones keeping the machines going after i have passed away. NEVER! it is so very confusing to have her come around like this all the time and i truly feel very spooked out at the moment.
I'm sorry that your loved one has passed away, @Jeshu....do you think she was visiting you to say goodbye on her way to heaven? or are you saying you hear her voice speaking to you every day currently, and she is angry?
Is there anything that comforts you when hearing voices?
