Sorry. I don't know that. I believe the new heaven and new earth will be revealed at the same time.
I think I'm beginning to see where you stand with your belief. You might be one of those that select "never" on the poll concerning Christ's return and a literal reign on earth.
I would say because of this, you're only able to see the
"new heaven and new earth" still 1000 years away from now after Christ's millennial reign.
Before the
"new heaven and new earth" in Revelation 21:1 comes to pass, there will be a
"new heavens and a new earth" (Isaiah 65:17, Isaiah 66:22, 2 Peter 3:13) that will happen 1000 years prior. And these two events are not the same.
Isaiah 65, 66 and 2 Peter 3 are parallel passages. Revelation 21 is a totally different.
Do you know their differences and understand what will happen?
Isaiah 65:17 King James Version (KJV)
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
Isaiah 66:22 King James Version (KJV)
For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.
2 Peter 3:13 King James Version (KJV)
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Revelation 21:1 King James Version (KJV)
21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
So what you're saying is that "the last day" wasn't really "the last day". Interesting logic. If you keep reading your Bible that way you can literally make it say anything you want.
Geez Louise! No!
The complete opposite. When Jesus said I will raise him up on the last day, He literally meant it. He resurrected the OT saints on His last day on earth when He died on the cross. That's what He meant by the last day. He was talking about His last day before He died on the cross.
Matthew 27:45-54New King James Version (NKJV)
Jesus Dies on the Cross
45 Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
47 Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said, “This Man is calling for Elijah!” 48 Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink.
49 The rest said, “Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him.”
50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.
54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

Don't you know that we already reign with him?
Not so! Read below.
A future reign does not preclude a current reign.
Luke 10:17
The seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name."
Christ and the bible are referring to an earthly reign during the millenium: Revelation 11:15, one that rules over nations and people of the world, not a spiritual reign over the demonic forces in another realm: Luke 10:19, Luke 9:1.
Luke 10:19 New King James Version (NKJV)
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke 9:1 New King James Version (NKJV)
Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.
