Discerning the signs of the times is quite different than setting a date for the return of Christ.

People have been doing both for 2 millennia now, and they all have one thing in common.
100% failure rate.

I agree only in part with you. The days of Noah and Lot are already here imho. There are horrible things happening that people right now will call fringe only because it is not mainstream news and maybe not happening where we live.
I agree completely with you. We are so desensitized to how ungodly we are it's pitiful. We look at things and say "Oh we aren't so bad, We're good people at heart". No we aren't. Take a good look t this world and how the people act in it and say it again. We've given in to satan, the bible says there will be a great falling away and our hearts will be hardened even the entire book of Enoch is for a later time and I believe it's this time. The bad part is we think we're so smart and have so much figured out because of technology not really knowing who gave us that tech and that it's really fooling us. We knew more and were safer 6,000 years ago.

Except the cancer my brother got when he was 5 wouldn't have been cured 6000 years ago, the way it was 40 years ago.

Other than that, yeah the human race was way better off 6000 years ago.... well other than that and slavery... and I suppose women being treated as property was worse then than it is now... oh and mass literacy didn't exist then thee way it does now so people can actually read Gods word for themselves... and I guess having and spreading the saving gospel through easy global travel, TV, radio... also the polio vaccine, penicillin, dentistry, neuro surgery, insulin treatment for Diabetes, electricity, food safety... oh jeeze... but yeah, 6000 years ago was definitely better, mostly.. sort of, maybe-ish?

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the wholeworld, and lose his own soul? Oh wait but you were making a point about how much better of a short mortal life we have. I'm sure everyone in hell will have time to mull that over.

Especially the points I made about spreading the gospel and literacy for Bible reading?

Ok then....but I'm not too concerned about people having to mull over those benefits in Hell.

That's the problem we all should be concerned. As Christians it is our commission to and should be our desire to keep people from it. When you say you're not too concerned with it that all but proves the point of falling short. What does that say about how a caring religion cares for people?

Jipsah, Today at 12:46 AM

Mark 13:37

"And what I say to YOU I say to ALL: Stay awake.”

ALL = Jipsah

ALL = Everyone
Nice dodge. Let's try again: Who was He talking to, as in who was He looking at, whose direct questions was He answering. How can such an easy question require so much artful dodging?

When Jesus said "For then shall be great Tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." it surely means for the whole world.
The question was "Who was He talking to?" He wasn't writing a book, or making a video, He was talking to some folks, and responding to question tey asked. Who were they?

Even though things are hell in the Middle East, we still have it good here (although some MINOR tribulation is beginning here).
Small world that consists of only the Middle East and here. There are Christians being slaughtered for the Faith in various parts of the world, but "here" we imaging a Great Tribulation in the form of unfavorable Supreme Court rulings and a 1% uptick in the unemployment rate.

They are already doing crossing the species barrier with plants and also animals.Look up the liger.
Oh good grief, a "liger" is simply a crossbred lion and tiger, just as a mule is a crossbred horse/donkey. That kind of "genetic engineering" goes back a good many centuries.

Yes, I've already come across is. Apparently in the days of Noah, because of the Nephilum, they were splicing genetics back then like we are beginning to do now.
Science fiction.

And yes, this is in the bible
Gene splicing is in the Bible? Is that in the New Imaginary Version?

I recall the book of Enoch has mentioned that fallen angels have created monsters (genetically modified human+animal)
The Book of Enoch is a great source for extra-Biblical hogwash.

They may have cloned mankind by now.
A clone is a twin, nothing more, and has no more moral significance than does in vitro fertilization.

I really can't say. I do know for sure, is that in Isaiah it does mention that in the final last days, there will be cross-bred animals roaming the earth.
They've been roaming the South for a long time. My granddad had several in my remembrance. Old Sook was my favorite, she was smart and gentle and huge. Her only faults were that she at enough for 2 normal mules, and the other was that if you rode her too near the creek or the pond, she'd try to toss you into it. She apparently thought that was hilarious, and it worked on those who didn't expect it (me, for instance). Old Tony was a good worker, but his back was too sharp to ride comfortably.

That's interesting. If you read when Joshua and the other spy goes into the land, they call themselves grasshoppers compared to the inhabitants of the land.
I think that's what's called hyperbole. "I fell out of that tree and and on the way down hit every limb at least twice." Translates to "those old boys are really, really big!"

Thousands of years, in fact. The domesticated dog is probably the first example. Domesticated grain another early one. Interestingly, humans haven't had a non-gm staple crop for at least 6000 years, o it always bemuses me when people get all hot and bothered over new strains.

I'm going to try to make this easy and I don't mean "dumb it down so please don't get offended, I mean I think I'll answer it successfully. I'm working on the preface that JESUS is GOD and he knows all. Knowing that JESUS would have known not only the individuals listening physically there with him at the time, but the ones that they would talk to afterwards about what JESUS said, then to those that they would talk to, then down the line. Knowing that since JESUS knowing all, seeing what was, and is, and is to come would know that the book was being written so he actually was writing a book when he said all. Saying that when JESUS said all he was referring to everyone in the sense of everybody from the point of when he said all until the point of the end.

Jipsah, what happened? Did they turn your internet back on?

You are funny like Don Rickles.

I laugh even when you make fun of me.
