  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Psalm 25. I'm not sure if the chorus is the same, but I have a beautiful version of that Psalm done in acapella by the Leibee family. The CD I have has 57 scripture songs all taken from the Psalms. I love it.

YESLORDIWILL

You are correct. These lovely words come from Psalm 25

Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul
O my God, I trust in thee
Let me not be ashamed
Let not my enemies triumph over me.

I don't think so. A Maschil is a type of psalm. I think the answer is Doeg.

Dysert you might be right because lots of the Psalms were written to the Chief Musician.

Most of the Psalms written to the Chief Musician were beautiful Psalms.

Therefore these nasty comments in Psalm 52 could not possibly be about the Chief Musician.
