You are quite right Dysert. Joab was in charge of the army of Israel.

King David had victory after victory over his enemies.

At least some of the glory for all those victories must go to Joab.

David's first born son, bore to him by Ahinoam. (2 Samuel 3:2)

63/ Based on post #55 who else had Ahinoam to wife?

YESLORDIWILL

Here is the answer to question 62

Ahinoam had David first born son and heir to the throne of Israel Amnon.

Amnon raped his half sister Tamar who was Absalom's sister.

Absalom then murdered Amnon to avenge the rape of his sister.

I believe that this then made Absalom heir to the throne of Israel.

YESLORDIWILL

Here is the answer to your question 63

Saul gave his daughter Michal to David as a wife.

Saul then gave Michal to someone else.
1 Samuel 25 verse 44

David took two more wives
Abigail in 1 Samuel 25 verse 42
Ahinoam in 1 Samuel 25 verse 43

Abigail was previously married to Nabal. 1 Samuel 25 verse 15
I cannot find that Ahinoam was ever married to anyone other than David.

64/ Based on post #55, Leviticus 18:17, and Deuteronomy 27:23, why would Saul give Michal to someone else?

Answer to question 64

Saul gave David's wife Michal to Phalti
1 Samuel 25 verse 44

Saul hated David and wanted him dead.
This is just another example of Saul's hatred of David.

Sorry, I've been offline. Yes, the obvious answer would be Doeg the Edomite, but remember it is a "trick question"....you might have to dig deeper to find the obscure.

38/ Who is the man that lovest lying rather than speaking righteousness? (trick question)

Dysert and myself have made many attempts at your question 38.

I think you have got us beaten on this question.

In a well in Bahurim.

Question 66

66/ Where did a wench hide two of King David's spies, to stop them being captured by the servants of Absalom who had seized power in Israel form his father David ?

Dysert your answer is correct. A wench covered the well and spread corn on it. The servants of Absalom could not find David's spies. The quick thinking of this wench helped David to escape to safety across to the other side of Jordan. The shrewdness of this wench allowed David to consolidate his forces to attack and defeat Absalom in the next chapter. We dont hear of this wench again but she saved the lives of David and his men. Well done that wench.
2 Samuel 17 verse 17
