The second coming of Jesus was in 312 AD when the sign of the Son of Man appeared in the clouds, and Jesus came into power through St. Constantine who rode a white horse and conquered with a bow. That day is called the turning point in history because ever since that day, Christian nations have been the dominant force on earth.
Sorry, there was no rapture. Instead, Constantine sent his messengers with a trumpet, and gathered the elect of all the Church together, to Nicea.

1Th 4:17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

"Caught up together.""In the clouds.""Meet the Lord in the air.""With the Lord forever." None of this has happened. Christians alive today will not be with the Lord forever. We will all die and all stand before the white judgement throne.

There is no rapture because Jesus never mentioned one. It is a figment of Paul's imagination.

Your argument is a figment of your imagination. Peter did not have a problem with Paul's writing. The church has accepted Paul's writings for 2000 years +/-. Do you have any credible, verifiable, historical evidence to support your argument? That is anything other than your rejecting or twisting scripture.

...and none of the signs that the Gospel says would signal the imminent return of Christ occurred in 312.

People used to think heaven was above (in the atmosphere). The Gnostics came to realize Christ was speaking of matter and non matter (carnate and incarnate). I don't dumb myself down to follow non spiritual thought.

What the gnostics, or any other 1st century religious group, "came to realize" is irrelevant.

The beliefs of the religious orthodoxy from the 16th century onwards are the only ones that count, right? :D

Is that what I said? Funny I don't remember saying anything like that. I know! Why don't you address what I post and not something you have conjured in your imagination?

This is you implying that I said "The beliefs of the religious orthodoxy from the 16th century onwards are the only ones that count," right? Since I did not say anything like this, why ask this question? How can you assume this is what I meant?

The sign of the Son of Man appeared in the clouds in 312 AD, shortly after sunset on Oct.27th.

Well, Constantine said that he saw a certain sign in the clouds.

But that aside, I was interested in the nations rising against nations, the sun being darkened, the moon not giving any light, angels with trumpets appearing, the stars falling from the heavens, the Son of Man (not Constantine) visibly reappearing with great power and glory, and, of course, the Gospel having already been preached into all the world.

None of that happened.

Constantine was never a Christian, the sign he saw was from the Devil in favour of Sun worship as Constantine was a Sun worshiper, so you are far from right!!

Every eye saw it. If it was too cloudy, they soon saw it on Roman armor and Roman coins, and in Church art. You too can see it with any star-tracking software. Just set the date to Oct, 27th, 312 AD.

A mighty big stretch to arrive at your predetermined conclusion. Constantine is a poor substitute for Jesus.
