The beast is just not Israel, not the Israeli government, nor is Jersualem, nor are they Babylon the Great... they are not a fit.
I don't believe that any nation is the little horn. I believe that the little horn is a person; someone born in the parable of the fig tree generation, our generation. He hasn't come to power yet. So I have no idea who he is as far as a specific individual.
Doug
Well Doug ,you dont have to believe anything.
But Jerusalem is a perfect fit for the harlot.
You just have to get to know her the way the Lord knows her.
Isaiah 1;21
How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers
As for the little horn .
You know where it is because scripture tells you where it is.In the pleasant land. But you prefer to look away toward another land.
Daniel 7;24
The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.
He is different because he is jewish. The other ten are muslim.
And in 1967 the little nation subdued three other nations in only six days.
They were Jordan ,Syria,and Egypt.
The
Six-Day War (
Hebrew: מלחמת ששת הימים,
Milhemet Sheshet Ha Yamim;
Arabic: النكسة,
an-Naksah, "The Setback," or حرب 1967,
Ḥarb 1967, "War of 1967"), also known as the
June War,
1967 Arab-Israeli War, or
Third Arab-Israeli War, was fought between June 5 and 10, 1967, by
Israel and the neighboring states of
Egypt (known at the time as the
United Arab Republic),
Jordan, and
Syria.
After a period of high tension between Israel and its neighbors, the war began on June 5 with Israel launching surprise bombing raids against Egyptian air-fields. Within six days, Israel had won a decisive land war. Israeli forces had taken control of the
Gaza Strip and the
Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, the
West Bank and
East Jerusalem from Jordan, and the
Golan Heights from Syria.
In the pleasant land dwelling upon seven hills is a city governed by a super nuclear power know as Israel which which defeated ten nations in 1948 to become a little nation. And in 1967 it removed the last of those ten from the seven hills.Just plucked those horns right up out of the seven heads and removed them as though it was nothing.
Yet you believe someone elsewill come and capture thier entire nuclear program .Now how do you suppose your little horn is going to overcome my little horn?
- ^ BBC News. "Israel 'has 150 nuclear weapons'", May 26, 2008. Statement by former United States president Jimmy Carter.
Stockpile
The State of Israel has never made public any details of its nuclear capability or arsenal. The following is a history of estimates by many different sources on the size and strength of Israel's nuclear arsenal. Estimates may vary due to the amount of material Israel has on store versus assembled weapons, and estimates as to how much material the weapons actually use, as well as the overall time in which the reactor was operated.
- 1974 3 capable artillery battalions each with 12 175 mm tubes and a total of 108 warheads;[80] 10 bombs[81]
- 1976 1020 nuclear weapons[82]
- 1985 at least 100 nuclear bombs[87]
- 1991 5060 to 200300[89]
- 1992 more than 200 bombs[90]
- 1996 6080 plutonium weapons, maybe more than 100 assembled, ER variants, varitable yields[95]
- 1997 More than 400 deliverable thermonuclear and nuclear weapons[58]
- 2002 Between 75 and 200 weapons[96]
- 2006 Federation of American Scientists believes that Israel "could have produced enough plutonium for at least 100 nuclear weapons, but probably not significantly more than 200 weapons".[98]
- 2008 150 or more nuclear weapons.[99]
- 2008 80 intact warheads, of which 50 are re-entry vehicles for delivery by ballistic missiles and the rest bombs for delivery by aircraft. Total military plutonium stockpile 340560 kg.[100]
- 2009 Estimates of weapon numbers differ sharply with plausible estimates varying from 60 to 400.[101]
- 2010 According to Jane's Defense Weekly Israel has between 100 and 300 nuclear warheads, most of them are probably being kept in unassembled mode but can become fully functional "in a matter of days".[102]
- 2010 "More than 100 weapons, mainly two-stage thermonuclear devices, capable of being delivered by missile, fighter-bomber, or submarine"[15]
[edit] Delivery systems
Israeli military forces possess land, air, and sea based methods for deploying their nuclear weapons, thus forming
nuclear triad that is mainly medium to long ranged, the backbone of which is submarine launched
cruise missiles and medium and
intercontinental ballistic missiles, with
Israeli Air Force tactical aircraft fulfilling the role normally played by strategic bombers in the Russian and American strategic deterrent.
[103] During 2008 the
Jericho III ICBM became operational, giving Israel extremely long range nuclear strike abilities.
