This is true. I've now read the entire thing twice.
I noticed no one has addressed any of my points.

Should the word Christian be removed from this website title?
But how have you (and the rest of the conservative subforum for that matter) all of the sudden become more qualified than the individual him/herself to determine if they're really a christian. Better yet, how did you guys become more qualified than God?
Fairly easily actually. The belief in the Nicene/Apostle's Creed is the litmus test for a bare minimum classification as a Christian. It worked for Christianity for thousands of years and this site quite well until recently. There must be some kind of standard to adhere to otherwise anyone can justify any kind of belief by calling it "Christian".
Exactly. For centuries, this is how Christians believed... and now, anyone who thinks they are a Christian is... according to CF. Sorry, but no... that is not how it works. No one is God and none of us can judge each others heart... but there is a definite criteria to determine exactly what Christianity is and what it means to be a Christian and the basic fundamentals of Christianity. And people can deny this and debate it all they want... it is in God's hands ultimately... but make no mistake about this... those who mislead innocent souls to the slaughter will answer to God for it. There are always wolves in sheep's clothing seeking to whom they can devour... it's in the Scriptures. Look it up.
Who was it who said these reforms have actually worked, but in an antagonistic sort of way to the original intent of the site?I'd like to point out that there are people from all sorts of denominations here agreeing that the term "Christian" should be removed from the site. . .I see Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholic, non-denom, Presbyterian, Reformed Baptist, etc., etc. etc. How often do various of these denominations post together in a thread and actually agree wholeheartedly on something? Not often. This is a pretty universal agreement. It is not just coming from one denomination.

Well... I also see a lot of unity here.![]()
If I may relate a personal story I know people that I met in college who called themselves "Christians". They did not believe Jesus was the Son of God or had any kind of divinity. In point of fact they did not even believe in God or religion. What they did was say that Jesus was a man who had to pretend to be a god in order to get his message of love and forgiveness across to people and that message is what was important, not him.
So they consider themselves "Christians" because they believe in a message from a good man who was forced to lie about his divinity.
Now can anyone tell me with a straight face they consider that "Christian"? But yet if they came here under the new rules they would be allowed to call themselves just that and to go and spread their own message to babes in Christ or other nonbelievers. In point of fact that's how they met me: they came to Christian college fellowship class to try and recruit people to their "new Christianity".

We can vote to change the name
Vote to keep the name in shame
but i see a third alternative
I vote we keep calling it Christian, and show people how we take it back for Christ with the word alone in a face down of debates, leaving no room for anything but scripture. Let the error be shown in the word. Those who love God will see He is not confounded, and the truth seekers will find truth.
We know it is prophesied that in the latter times many will depart from the faith and men wont endure sound doctrine... Lets not let it shock us so much when we see it come to pass since God is the one who forewarned us. Many more will fall but this will only serve to make us all stronger.

Please don't accuse someone of lying when it is possible that he changed his mind.Very good posts ... and well... I guess Erwin lied.
