  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

TreVeyon Henderson on Pride Month: Christian Love Looks Different From the World’s

Pride itself is a sin, unless you are taking pride in the cross.
For Christians there is no pride in self. We are to sacrifice self-glory for Gods glory in Christ.

The world sees pride in human achievement and self as a good. An outward sign of success. A feeling of superiority of self over all else. Of human good works over Gods.

In fact like Christ Christians should hide their good works and not display them as a means to virtue signal to others about being good. To even sacrifice self to death for the sake of others and Gods kingdom.

Christ said the world will hate Christians for His sake. So, I think we should rejoice that we are hated for Christ by the world. It means we are being like Christ.

Do you have any Interesting stories to tell ?

Darren suspected Gary was an addicted gambler and anticipated he would enter the hotel casino. But Gary walked right past it. If not the casino, what could it be? Something even darker?

A few steps ahead, right there in the hotel corridor, a glowing neon sign read MAFIA — practically screaming organized crime. Gary pushed the door open and went inside.

Darren felt a wave of fear. So that was it. Gary wasn’t a gambler at all. He was worse. It looked like he was involved with criminal activities.

Secretive religious sect The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church has ordered its members to purge their homes of pets (also did so in 1960s)

PEB's (used to Plymouth Exclusive Brethren but now prefer Plymouth Brethren Christian Church) is the Australian slang for them.
Not so secretive as they have a formal website Home | Plymouth Brethren Christian Church and charity arm, they have a whole private school system for their own kids in Australia. They are also known for giving money to the conservative side of politics and even handing out how to vote cards.

There was a congregation in my home town, a rural Australian city of 10K, 6" fence around the chapel, they would arrive in a convoy of 4 or 5 cars into the centre of town and preach the gospel publicly by reading of the KJV sections and shouting in KJV language at people.

They are a split of a split of a split in the Exclusive movement each one getting further from historic Christianity this group used to be referred as the Taylorites after an early leader but are now run by the Hale family out of Australia.

I have had several personal connections to the PEB's through my life, if you go to the website they present a polished image but I have the seen the pain they have caused various people in my life.

Our Bodies a Living Sacrifice

Romans 12:1-2 NKJV

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Living Sacrifice

This word “beseech” is not a casual word to be overlooked. For literally it means to exhort, to intreat, to urge, to implore, to encourage strongly, to urgently ask for or to request or to admonish, all of which are to be taken deeply seriously. So this is not a casual request, but this is urgent, critical, and regarding life and death. And to exhort is to insist. And to admonish is to caution and to warn, as well as to reprove. And to intreat is to plead. So this is of a critical nature that we pay close attention to what is said here.

So, what does it look like if we, by the mercies of God, present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to God? Well, it means first of all that this originates with God, by his design and purpose, and that this is not something we can do of our own will or in our own strength and flesh. It is only because of God’s grace in sending Jesus Christ to the cross to put our sins to death with him that any of us can now deny self, die to sin, and follow our Lord in walks of surrender to him in obedience to his commands.

So, only by God’s grace, and by his divine persuasion, can any of us turn from our sins and now follow Jesus and walk in his ways and in his truth and righteousness. And this is what it really means to present our bodies to him as living sacrifices, for to sacrifice is to give up something, in this case it is to give up our flesh and our sinful practices and our stubborn wills to now surrender our lives to the will of God and to his service. It means to put self on the altar of sacrifice to God so that he now has command of our lives.

Holy Living

And to be holy is to be different, unlike the world, because we are being transformed by God into the likeness of Jesus Christ, by his grace, in his power, via our full cooperation with his work of grace in our lives. And his grace, which is bringing us salvation, is training us to renounce (say no to) ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives while we await our Lord’s return. For we are now clay in the hands of our Potter God who is shaping and molding us into his likeness.

And when we have, by God-persuaded faith in Jesus Christ, denied self, died to sin, and we are now following our Lord in surrender to his will, in walks of obedience to his commands, in holy living, in practice, then we are acceptable to God. And all of this is our reasonable service to God in our worship of God. And to worship God is not done just with the raising of hands and the singing of songs, but true worship of God involves death to sin and obedience to his commands in holy living – all in his power.

Transformed and Conformed to God

And if we are no longer conformed to this world, that means that we are no longer living and following after the desires of the flesh and worldly living. We no longer follow after the pattern of the world, but we now follow Christ in being who he wants us to be. Rather than imitating the world and its desires, we imitate Christ and we obey his desires for our lives. We do not prefer the world – the lusts of the flesh and of the eyes and the pride of life – but we prefer holiness, honesty, faithfulness, and obedience to God.

For if truly we are transformed of God in the renewing of our minds, so that by our actions (behaviors, habits) we prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God, then our lives (our lifestyles) should reflect Christ and his will and purpose for our lives. Our lives should no longer reflect what is wicked, immoral, dishonest, prideful, selfish, and unfaithful to our Lord, as a matter of life practice. And this is not claiming absolute sinless perfection, but that in practice we serve Jesus Christ.

Oh, holy ones, I counsel you,
In view of God’s mercy,
To give yourselves to God in love
As living offerings,
Pleasing to God, holy in love.
This is your true worship.
Do not conform to worldly lives.
Let God transform you today.
Then you’ll be able to
Test and approve of what
God’s will is – His pleasing
And perfect will. Oh, holy ones,
I counsel you – Offer yourselves unto God.

Oh, holy ones, I counsel you –
Do not be conceited.
Humble yourselves before your God.
Do not be self-righteous.
The strength you have to live in love
Comes from your Lord God, so
Live your new lives in pow’r of God.
Be changed in heart, mind and will.
Do this because of what
Christ did for you when
He died on the cross to save
The world from sin. Oh, holy ones,
I counsel you – Humble yourselves before God.

Oh, holy ones, I counsel you –
Count yourselves dead to sin,
But be alive to God in Christ.
Do not let sin reign in
Your earthly lives so you
Obey its evil desires.
Offer yourselves unto your God
As those who’ve been born again.
For sin shall no longer be
Your lord and master.
Give of yourselves to God
For righteousness. Oh, holy ones,
I counsel you – Be alive to God in Christ.

God's Word Has Not Failed

“I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit— that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh.” (Romans 9:1-3 ESV)
“But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but ‘Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.’ This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring.” (Romans 9:6-8 ESV)
“If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:29 NIV)

Bible verses on biblical Israel:[Genesis 17:7-9; Genesis 18:19; Matthew 21:43; John 8:18-19,38-47; John 10:16; Romans 2:28-29; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; Romans 9:4-8,25-28; Romans 11:1-36; 1 Corinthians 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; Galatians 3:16,26-29; Galatians 4:22-31; Ephesians 2:11-22; Ephesians 3:1-6; Colossians 3:12-15; Titus 2:14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-16; Hebrews 8:6-13; 1 Peter 2:9-10,24; 1 John 2:22; Jude 1:5; Revelation 2:9; Revelation 3:9]

Physical Birth vs Spiritual Birth

Now, I am not going to get into all the history behind this, for I believe the Lord wants me to focus on one main specific topic which can be applied to the church today, as well. And that has to do with what constitutes genuine faith in the Lord and who are the ones who are the children of God, God’s chosen people today. And what is the present day criteria for being a child of God and an heir according to the promise God made to Abraham?

Paul made it a point to point out that he was speaking of his “brothers” according to the flesh, and not according to the Spirit. They were the Israelites of the Old Covenant, and Paul was deeply concerned for them, because most of them did not believe in Jesus Christ, the promised seed of Abraham, and the Messiah who was to come and who did come to the Jewish people. So they were not part of Spiritual Israel.

And we can apply a similar principal to “Christians.” Just because someone claims to believe in Jesus and to be a Christian, it doesn’t necessitate that is the truth, in reality. For just as the Jews who did not believe in Jesus were no longer the spiritual children of Abraham and part of Spiritual Israel, so those who profess faith in Jesus but whose faith is not biblical faith, and so there is not the evidence that true faith exists, are not the children of God.

So, it is not by lip service only, nor by physical birth, nor by being physical descendants of those who worship the one and only true God – Father, Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit – that we are or that we become children of God and heirs of the promise God made to Abraham, and inheritors of the kingdom of heaven. Only if we belong to Christ are we Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise God made with Abraham.

Belonging to Christ and Biblical Israel

So, what does it mean to belong to Christ? It means we are his possession and we are no longer our own, doing whatever it is that we desire to do, but now our lives are given over to the Lord in death to sin and in walks of obedience to his commands in surrender to his will and purpose for our lives. He owns us and now we are his possession, and so we are no longer the ones in charge of our lives, but Jesus is. So we now follow him.

Jew and Gentile alike, by physical birth, are only biblical Israel and heirs of the promise God gave to Abraham and to his seed by genuine faith in the Lord Jesus via dying with him to sin and now being raised with him to walk in newness of life in him, no longer as slaves to sin, but as slaves to God and to his righteousness. And only those who have died to sin and who are now walking in obedience to our Lord are God’s children and biblical Israel.

It doesn’t matter if we prayed a prayer to receive Christ, and/or that we were baptized, or that we went through catechism, or that we joined a local institutional “church,” or that we attend “church services” weekly if all that we are doing is going through religious exercises but we have not surrendered our lives to the Lord Jesus, died with him to sin, and if we are not walking (in conduct) in obedience to his commands, by the Spirit.

And if a Jew by physical birth has not done the same, i.e. surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus, died with him to sin, and is now walking in obedience to the Lord and to his commands, by his grace, he is not part of Spiritual Israel, the Israel of God. But all Gentiles whose faith in Jesus Christ is genuine are part of biblical Israel, and we are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise God made with Abraham and his seed.

We are God’s chosen people, both Jew and Gentile by spiritual birth via genuine faith in the Lord Jesus. We are his holy nation who are heirs of the promise God made with Abraham. All who do not believe in Jesus Christ, who have not died with him to sin, and who are not walking in obedience to his commands, are not the children of God, and are not heirs of the promise. The only way to God the Father is through faith in Jesus Christ, his Son.

Jesus said she had five husbands, and was with another.

John 4:16-18 Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here." The woman answered and said, "I have no husband." Jesus said to her, "You have well said, 'I have no husband,' for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly."

I now believe that the physical part is the marriage, not the ceremony. Like water baptism is a public testimony of the one true baptism with the Holy Spirit, likewise, the marriage ceremony is a similar public testimony of an already established fact. But Scripture is not clear in this matter, so I hold that belief with a theological grain of salt.

It appears Jesus is either saying the same thing, that she had slept with five men and was living with (but not yet slept with) another, *or* , She was ceremonially married to five husbands while sleeping with yet another. The reason why I would shy away from the second example is that it would be easy to say that she was a widowed, or even divorced, or both, which, if I'm not mistaken, either one would release her from the obligation of that marriage. The point being, she would not longer have five husbands. The logic only fits if she's sleeping with the five and that is considered marriage in God's eyes, and as a result, she would still be bound through marriage to all five, thus "five husbands". *Or*, yet another wrinkle, some would point to the fact that Jesus said that she was right in that she had no husband, the point being that she slept with five men but did not marry any of them, like the 6th and current one. That would require a different translation than Jesus claiming that she had five husbands, putting the focus on her not having five husbands.

Just wondering what other people's biblical thoughts are on this matter are.

The Old Covenant Vs The New Covenant

The purpose of this thread is to show clearly the difference between the old covenant and the new covenant.

The million dollar question is:
What is a covenant???

A covenant is simply an agreement between two or more parties.

In fact in our legal world we call them contracts. Let's examine the similarities.

A contract is essentially a legally binding agreement between two or more parties. It sets out specific rights and obligations that each party must uphold. In practice, contracts often involve the exchange of goods, services, money, or promises to deliver these at a future date. If one party fails to meet their obligations, the law provides remedies—such as damages or enforcement—to address the breach.

The definition above was obtained from the AI called Copilot. Everything outlined in a contract is what a covenant does.

Now that we have established that let's go and compare both covenants.

THE OLD COVENANT

Exodus 19: 1 - 6, 16 - 19
1 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

2 For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.

3 And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.

18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.

19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.

Now in the very next chapter God spoke the 10 commandments. Read Exodus 20: 1 - 20

God made sure they at least heard the 10 commandments. Israel did not want the LORD to speak with them anymore. So Moses listened to God and brought the words.

Exodus 24: 1 - 8
1 And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the Lord, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.

2 And Moses alone shall come near the Lord: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.

3 And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the Lord hath said will we do.

4 And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

5 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the Lord.

6 And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the Lord hath said will we do, and be obedient.

8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said,
Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words.

Moses said "Behold the blood of the covenant" In other words the blood of the agreement. What was the agreement again? That they would keep the 10 commandments. This is how God sealed covenant, he does with blood. When we sign contracts we use or signatures which makes it legally binding. This is what God has always required of his creation.

Exodus 34: 1, 4 - 5, 27 - 28
1 And the Lord said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

4 And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.

5 And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.

27 And the Lord said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

28 And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

Now Israel decided to quickly break the covenant that was signed in blood. Read Exodus 32 where they made the golden calf. If you break a blood covenant the ones who should die are the ones who went against the agreement. However Moses talked God out of it. However many people lost their lives. There was nothing to take the place of people who sinned against God. So not only did GOD speak the ten commandments, he wrote them down TWICE. This was symbolic because Israel was not going to keep their end of the covenant. Since the old covenant is signed by the blood of bulls and goats they took the place of men for sin even though they were innocent, this would be a shadow for what Christ would do for man. See Leviticus chapter 4.

Jeremiah 7: 21 - 24
21 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.

22 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:

23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

NOT ONE TIME from Exodus 20 to Exodus 24 did the LORD said sacrifice animals for me. He told Israel to obey his voice and keep his commandments (Exodus 20: 1- 17). They did not listen to the words of the covenant. The covenant was signed with blood, so once it was broken then an innocent animal died and they kept ignoring God's command and then proceeded to sacrifice an innocent animal.

THE NEW COVENANT

Jeremiah 31: 31 - 34
31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

It says clearly God will write the laws in our hearts. Israel is God's name so if you confess you're a Christian you should be a spiritual Israelite. Many have a problem with this because of corrupt Hebrews dress in purple but that's a subject for another time.

Hebrews 8: 3, 6 - 11
3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

Paul is confirming what Jeremiah prophesied in the 31st chapter. In the old covenant the children of Israel had to look upon fringes. This covenant is better because now they are literally inside your head.

The issue was with the people, not God's law. The commandments are perfect and God expects us to do our best to walk in them. The ten commandments are the words of both covenants. What changed instead of sprinkling the blood of bulls upon people now everyone has been purchased with the blood of Christ.

Acts 20: 28
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Romans 2: 14 - 15
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

The law is written in everyone’s heart, not just Israel and Paul confirms this because once you join yourself to Israel then you are spiritual Israel. Nobody is going to have an excuse on judgement day. Even an atheist knows not to steal. The new covenant is more binding than the old covenant because in the old covenant they had fringes to remind them to keep the commandments. In the new covenant it’s already in your mind so if you break God’s law you knew exactly what you were doing and don’t try to blame it on the devil either.

Hebrews 9: 1 - 8
1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

2 For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

3 And after
the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

This is the tabernacle of the congregation where animals were sacrificed and their blood brought unto the veil. See Exodus 26: 1, 30 - 33

Colossians 2: 14
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Nailing the law of animal sacrifice to the cross because the LORD has no pleasure in it. It was suppose to teach man that sin is costly and blood needs to be shed to remit sins.

Hebrews 10: 1 - 10, 18, 26 - 29
1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

6
In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. (The LORD conformed this in Jeremiah 7: 21 - 24)

7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the
law; (it was a law because God made the children of Israel do it everytime they broke the ten commandments)

9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

The grace is the blood of Jesus Christ which we do not deserve that's why it is a free gift. If we spit on Jesus Christ offering his body for sin and continue to sin then the lake of fire awaits.

Romans 6: 1 - 2
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

So the covenant that was signed with the blood of animals was remove and replaced by the blood of Christ.

Your different selves and split brain experiments

Another interesting brain thingy is in cetaceans. (Whales, dolphins and the like.) They have unihemispheric brains; this allows one hemisphere of the brain to rest while the other remains awake. They are conscious breathers, so they need to have one side awake at all times. They found this out unfortunately when early captive dolphin surgeries, used general anesthesia which resulted in death due to respiratory arrest. Unlike us, they don't just automatically breath.

Anti intellectualism directed against science.

There is a mistrust of authorities that has grown tremendously, and it is related to abuse of authority as it has been happening. But to have this level of mistrust now is to necessarily believe in vast conspiracies that makes such abuse possible, if something like anthropogenic climate change is not real, among other things. And that cultic response will have a great role in the destructiveness to this earth. Who remembers that God hates that?
I think it's partly related to the abuse of authority, but it's also a consequence of deliberate ongoing propaganda and misinformation.

Jackie Hill Perry’s Compassionate Challenge to a Woman in a Same-Sex Marriage

A woman called Nicole dialed into a live podcast, admitted she loves God, has been married to a woman for five years, and wanted honest answers. What followed was one of the most direct — and grace-filled — conversations about faith and sexuality you’ll find on Christian media.

Jackie Hill Perry, author of Gay Girl, Good God and a widely respected Bible teacher, met Nicole’s honesty with her own. No condemnation. No deflection. But no softening of Scripture either.

Nicole’s Question: Faith and a ‘Cloud’ She Can’t Shake

Nicole called in to Hardly Initiated, a YouTube-streamed podcast hosted by Tysean Jackson and Ryan Catchings that focuses on faith, relationships, and culture. The episode, which featured Perry alongside guest Megan Ashley, was part of a series called ‘Fight the Flesh.’

If God is all-knowing, how can man have free will?

If God knows everything you’re going to do, can you still be free?

It’s one of the oldest questions in philosophy. For centuries, theologians and skeptics alike have wrestled with the tension between divine foreknowledge and human freedom. If God already knows every decision you will make, are your decisions real? Or is the future already written — unchangeable, mechanical, and determined?

For many, this leads to a fatalistic view of history: that every action, every thought, every choice is merely the outworking of a divine decree. Foreknowledge, they assume, demands determinism. But that only seems true if you start with a false assumption about time and an impoverished view of God.

The dilemma collapses when you stop imagining God as a cosmic spectator watching a chronological timeline unfold. Because the God of the Bible is not bound by time — time is bound by Him.

The problem lies not in foreknowledge itself, but in our insistence on mapping God’s knowledge onto human temporality. We picture God like a being ahead of us on the timeline, peeking around the corner to see what we’ll do. But God is not ahead of us in time — He is outside of time, or better put, time is inside of God. He is not watching history like a surveillance reel. Time is not His limit. It’s His creation.

And this is how I explain how I explain FREE WILL. !!

Only 2 of God creation had FREE WILL. and the rest. do not believe that there is NO GOD and earth was. just

a big explosion. !!

Baptism with the Holy Spirit

This scripture passage is using an idiom for the water baptism commanded by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-19.
Performing a baptism using an idiom will not actually save anyone.

God is three divine persons. These three divine persons have divine names corresponding to their relationship with each other. Their divine names are Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, respectively.

The Son is also a human being, and so he was given another name, Jesus, aka Jesus Christ, which means "Yahweh saves" or "the Lord is salvation." Matthew 1:21

Jesus commanded his apostles to make disciples for him by baptizing them in God's three divine names, not in his human name alone.

Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
See also Acts 10:48.

Why did Peter say to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ?

John the Baptist had previously preached a "water baptism for the repentance of sins." Peter was now preaching the "water baptism for the forgiveness of sins." This new water baptism which literally forgives sins became known by its idioms to differentiate it from John's baptism. Acts 13:24

One of the idioms that was used:

Acts 19:3-5 And he said, “Into what then were you baptized?” They said, “Into John’s baptism.” 4 And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.” 5 On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Other idioms that were used:

Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 6:3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

Acts 22:16
And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.

When the apostles actually baptized people, they called upon his divine name, Son, along with the other two divine names, Father and Holy Spirit, according to Jesus' command in Matthew 28:19. They did not baptize using any of the idioms.
And ACTS 19:5 SAYS THIS !!
