Longtime teacher fired after discussing God in classroom, challenging ‘evil’ LGBT school policy

The proposed pro-LGBT policy is ‘an abomination’ Ian O’Connell said at a school board meeting.

(LifeSiteNews) — A longtime public school teacher in Idaho was let go earlier this month for being unafraid to mention God in the classroom and voicing his objections to a pro-LGBT policy designed to promote “transgender” ideologies among young people.

Ian O’Connell, a Catholic teacher who served as a substitute in the public institutions of Caldwell School District for over 20 years, spoke on February 13 about a proposed “gender identity and sexual orientation” policy that would dismiss the reality of biological sex and enable children to believe they can “transition” to a member of the opposite sex.

Following this address — which O’Connell said was one of several instances in which he openly spoke about God and truth — he was told he could no longer substitute teach in the district.

O’Connell began his comments with the Sign of the Cross, saying, “Yes, I offer this up as a prayer. I pray that the board, with all due respect, rejects this proposal if it comes up again.”

Prayer Request: My brother is in the hospital

The doctor says that he has something called an intussusception. His gut is folding in on itself, and it was causing him some terrible stomachaches.

My brother says that they are going to take a part of his colon out. Please pray for healing, and that he may be free from ongoing future side effects. He's in really bad shape and is going to be in the hospital for 3-4 days. Please pray that he doesn't get an infection from the surgery and that it goes well.

Thanks.

Edit: proper word for that medical condition - fixed. It's really bad.

I tested a rich Christian

In another forum. A non-religious hobby forum, we have a highly successful member who openly admits being Christian and I guess proud to be one.

He often tells about his career. A very good one. As an engineer (or a scientist, can't remember the exact detail on that one) working for one of the top aerospace companies in USA, having high level security clearance and also worked on smaller but high profile projects. No doubt he is highly intelligent and smart, a man with 'golden hands' everything he worked on succeeded. And his career made him quite well off financially and retired successfully, no debt with large savings and large income from investments and pension. He travels all over the world with his wife many times a year.

He often talks about his successful career and attributes everything to God all of his blessings and success. Everyone in the forum knows him. He knows me just enough to trust me. Then lately, I often see him write in his posts he no longer values money and material things.

So I tested him on the things he wrote.;) One thing about this rich Christian pensioner, he had lots of cars for his own use only. He doesn't collect cars but he has different vehicles for different occasions. Some of them expensive, some are just regular sedans like most people drive to work.

Everyone in the forum knows me for having plenty of car problems with my old beat up car. So I asked this rich member if he can give me one of his car that's working perfectly fine to replace my old beat up car. He says he can't. I gave him a 2nd option, if he can't give up any of his cars due to sentimental value, he can send me money instead so I can find a good used car to replace my old beat up car. Again, he said no and he told me not because he doesn't trust me nor doesn't like me, he just wouldn't do it.

So I reasoned with him. He had plenty of 'disposable money', cars he can give away without problem. If he doesn't value money nor material things anymore, he shouldn't have any problems giving them to those who may need it so badly.

He gave a final reply he just can't with a smiley. He did not give any reason nor tried to debate the topic. From that point on, I never saw him write about his his beliefs about money and material things anymore. He also stopped telling about his Christianity. I wonder sometimes if I overdid it or did just right. After all, it would seem his intentions are in the wrong place and I made him out to be a hypocrite when it comes to worldly things.

I've observed this behavior often enough among other Christians with privileged life. They say they don't value money but ask them for a bit of help with money, they won't.

Can i not wear a hat as a Christian

1 Corinthians 11:
2 I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you. 3 But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man,[a] and the head of Christ is God. 4 Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved.6 For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.

7 A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; 9 neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. 10 It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own[c] head, because of the angels. 11 Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. 12 For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.

I just bought a hat and now dont know if i can wear it. What do you guys think?

Can you pray for my health please?

Last night I went to the ER because I was having leg pain that later seemed to move to my lungs. Fearing another Pulminary Embolism my wife and I rushed to the ER. The good news was they didn't find any PEs or blood clots. The bad news though my lungs are inflamed and the ER doctor never gave me any antibiotics for my inflamed lungs. Instead they told me if the pain doesnt get better in 3-4 days to call my doctor. Thats all they told me and a nurse had to tell me the results kf the blood work and catscan leaving me afraid for hours. The doctor barely spent 5 minutes with me. Anyway im telling you this because id like prayer that my inflamation will get better and i wont just end up in the hospital again. The pain still is there the nurse told me i could take ibuprophen or Tylenol for the pain but i havent taken any yet. I also barely slept last night because they kept me until nearly 2 in the morning. I'm also fearing a manic episode which usually happens when I don't sleep. So please pray for that too.

I know I shouldn't complain and should feel glad that I'm not In the same deadly situation I was in last year but, I can't help but feel bad. I mean a lung inflammation is pretty bad too and I never was given any antibiotics. It makes me wonder why the ER doctor made that call. Dunno. Anyway, pray for my recovery please.

...Is this censorship? A violation of the 1st amendment in regards to free speech?

A look at God's will.

It is commonly taught that God has two "wills," His sovereign and "permissive will." While there is no doubt about God's sovereign will, there is nothing about God's "permissive will," i.e., there is no teaching in Scripture about God having a "permissive will." That idea is just another tradition of man that is not found or taught in Scripture. No Hebrew or Greek word means "permissive will."
People are told that God "allows" things to happen or "lets" things happen, but you can't find one verse that reads that way. If a "pastor" says 'the bible says," but can't show you in Scripture where it is, then it is not in Scripture. Some may even say "it's implied," but that doesn't work either. Call me old-fashioned, but we should only teach what is in Scripture, not the traditions of men.

God's sovereign will is not hard to see or understand. It is not something impossible to figure out. It is not hidden or some mystery hidden in the pages of Scripture.

2Chr 20:6.
Psalm 115:3, 135:6
Ecc 3:14.
Job 23:13.
Isaiah 14:24,27, 46:10-11.
Eze 24:14.

The "pastors" often state what "God wants to do." When they use the word "wants," they say it as if it means "hopes, wishes, or desires." The sovereign God does exactly what He wants, when He wants, in the manner He wants, and to whomever He wants.

To best explain what the other aspect of God's will is to state that it is obeying God, living by and following His commandments. Torah means law, but it also means "instruction, teaching." God's saying, "let there be light, and there was light, is an example of God's sovereign will. When God said, "Thou shalt not murder," this is an example of God's other will, instructing his sheep on how to live a righteous life.
To see God as a father is not hard. What is a father's will when his children still live at home? For his children to keep the rules, don't steal, don't lie, and no fighting among yourselves. Obey your teachers, elders, and authorities, and don't break the law. Be kind to each other and conduct yourself properly outside the home. A father's message to his children is if you live according to what I teach and obey the rules, things will go well for you.

Neither is God's will on how a sheep should live a secrete. It is discovered by learning Scripture.

Lk 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it and bring forth fruit with patience.

Acts 22:14 And he said, "The God of our fathers has chosen you, that you should know His will..."

Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you will prove what is that good, acceptable and perfect will of God.

Eph 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.

Heb 10:36 For you need patience, that after you have done the will of God...

1Pet 4:2 That he should no longer live the rest of his life, giving in to the lusts of the flesh and men, but to the will of God.

1John 2:17 And the world passes away, along with the lusts. But he that does the will of God lives forever.

1Thess 5:18 In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God...concerning you.

1Thess 4:3 For this is the will of God...that you abstain from fornication.

1Pet 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing (good works) you will put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.

Eph 5:17 Be not unwise but understand the will of the Lord.

Mat 7: 21 Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that does the will of my Father.

Mk 3:35 For those who do the will of God are the ones who are my brother, sister and mother.

Psalm 40:8 I delight to do your will, my God.

Psalm 143:10 Teach me to do your will...

John 4:34 Jesus said, "My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me."

Col 4:12 ...that you will stand perfect and complete in all of the will of God.

Heb 13:21 Make you perfect in every good work to do His will...

"Pastors" need to stop using Jer 29:11 as a proof text to teach that God has an individual plan for each person. Teaching that leads people to wonder, "What is God's will for my life?" This lie leads people into anxiety, worry, and doubt. To begin with, Jer 29:11 is written for believers today but not "to" believers today. Reading Jer 29:1 tells you who exactly 29:11 applies to!
This nonsense has led people to believe that God has a special plan for each believer that, if followed, will lead to the "best" life a believer "can" have. This lie has people asking themselves, "Where should I go to college," "What career should I pursue," "Who should I marry?" etc., etc. They feel they are "failing" God if they don't follow God's "perfect plan" for their life.
The only problem is that people must discover this "mystery" plan for themselves. While God has put this fantastic "plan" together for each individual believer, He is silent about informing each individual about their particular plan. Really? This is like a father telling one of his children, "Son, I have buried a treasure somewhere for you, a treasure that will provide you with a great life. Only I know where this treasure is, and it is waiting for you to find it. But, son, I will not tell you where or how to find it. You have to figure this out on your own. I am not going to help you. Even if you ask me directly, I will not answer or even provide a small clue. If you fail to find the treasure, that's on you, and it's your fault. Then, I will be so disappointed in you."

And finally, people need to stop telling others, "God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life." I've had total strangers tell me this and I can't express how asinine this sounds!

GOP senators grill Merrick Garland over FBI, DOJ terrorizing Mark Houck and his family

The attorney general tried to pass responsibility for the Houck raid onto lower agents in the totem pole.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) – Republican senators excoriated Biden administration Attorney General Merrick Garland Wednesday for the U.S. Justice Department’s (DOJ’s) “unbelievable show of force” against acquitted pro-life activist Mark Houck in what pro-lifers say is one of the most egregious examples of the federal government’s discrimination against its political opponents.

While sidewalk counseling outside a Philadelphia abortion facility in 2021, Houck pushed 70-year-old pro-abortion activist Bruce Love, who had been harassing his then-12-year-old son. The family says Houck shoved the man away to protect the child from Love, who was verbally hostile and had intruded on his personal space, and though Love fell down he was uninjured.

Jesuit at Fishwrap: “Jesus was wrong.”

At Fishwrap (aka National Schismatic Reporter) we read the insights of Jesuit Thomas Reese, disgraced former editor of Amerika, who wins our Oaf For A Day Award. HERE What does it mean to be holy?

Jesus continues his commentary by commenting on the commandment, “You shall love your neighbor, but hate your enemy.” Actually, Jesus is wrong. There is no Old Testament injunction to hate your enemies. Leviticus says, “Love your neighbor as yourself” and makes no reference to enemies.

Well! There it is. Implicit in this is: “Since Jesus was wrong about this, then maybe He was wrong about other things too… and so is the Church.”

In Matthew 5 the Lord talks about personal relationships. He introduces His teachings with contrasts, beginning with the phrase:

Ἠκούσατε ὅτι ἐρρέθη τοῖς ἀρχαίοις … “You have heard that it was said to the men of old,… (v.21)

And variations of this, repeated: “You have heard that it was said,…” (vv. 31, 33, 38, 43).

Christ makes reference to what people have said, not necessary what was in their Scriptures.

Jesus is NOT wrong about what they have heard was said.

But… Jesuit… Jesuita, non Jesu ita.

Man arrested in connection to 7 bombings in Fresno has links to hate group; 4 other associates also arrested on various charges

A 44-year-old man with links to a white supremacist group has been arrested in connection with seven bombings in Fresno County, including a county probation department vehicle that was destroyed, authorities said Wednesday.

Scott Anderson of Fresno allegedly made and used pipe bombs on six vehicles since Dec. 13, deploying explosives inside and under the vehicles on six different occasions. The seventh bombing involved a mailbox, according to authorities.

Four people linked to Anderson have also been arrested for various charges. What, if any, connection or involvement they may have had in the bombings was still under investigation, Balderrama said.

Authorities said they seized 11 illegal firearms, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and almost 90 grams of methamphetamine that appeared packaged and ready for sale, along with about $50,000 in cash after serving search warrants in three different locations.

Frank Rocha, 56, has been charged with being in possession of bomb making materials. Steven Burkett, 51, was arrested and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and being a felon in possession of ammunition.

Paul New, 55, was arrested and charged with being in possession of an explosive device, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of ammunition and altering a firearm.

Amanda Sanders, 41, was charged with being in possession of methamphetamine for sale.

Unable To Get Psychotherapy?

I'm having trouble with getting help for my daughter, who is becoming dangerously thin. I've called several therapists, and oftentimes they claim that anorexia is beyond their scope, and then sometimes they give me phone numbers to call, and when I leave a message nobody ever calls back.

I'm pretty sure it's anorexia... At first, her doctors thought she might have coeliac disease, and so they did biopsies of her stomach tissue, and now they've finally come to the conclusion that it's psychological.

Is there a shortage of psychotherapists?

Feds arrest Michigan man who threatened to kill Jewish elected officials in the state

The FBI coordinated with local authorities in mid-February to arrest a heavily armed man who had threatened to kill all Jewish elected officials in Michigan on social media, according to a recently unsealed criminal case.

Jack Eugene Carpenter III, a resident of Tipton, Michigan, had tweeted on Feb. 17 that he was “heading back to Michigan now threatening to carry out the punishment of death to anyone that is jewish in the Michigan govt if they don’t leave, or confess,” according to the FBI’s affidavit.

Carpenter has been charged with transmitting an interstate threat, for which he could receive up to five years in federal prison, and is being held without bail in a federal court in Detroit, according to local reports. He was in Texas when he made the tweets, the FBI said.

The man appears to have been a former employee of the University of Michigan. On a Twitter account the FBI linked to Carpenter, he claimed to be a former employee of the University of Michigan who “was fired for refusing to take experimental medication,” apparently referring to the COVID-19 vaccine.

Carpenter also made references to several prominent right-wing conspiracy theories, including the █████ movement and the belief that President Joe Biden was not lawfully elected.

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials say they spotted the device during a routine screening.

Despite ‘no’ from Vatican, German bishops moves forward with plans for synodal council

Despite repeated warnings from the Vatican, a letter by the president of the German Bishops’ Conference published Wednesday confirms that plans for a German synodal council are progressing.

In the letter— dated Feb. 23 and published March 1 — Bishop Georg Bätzing writes that the German bishops take the Vatican’s “concerns” about a German synodal council seriously.

The message is addressed to Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin and to the prefects of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, Jesuit Cardinal Luis Ladaria, and the Dicastery for Bishops, Cardinal Marc Ouellet, PSS.

The German bishop tells the cardinals a German “synodal committee” would prepare a synodal council over three years. This move, Bätzing writes, is “a sign that there is still a great need for clarification regarding future synodal cooperation.

‘Welcome the Stranger’ From Ukraine: How US Catholic Dioceses Have Answered Christ’s Call

Refugees, finding warm welcome, reflect on Christian charity upon the first anniversary of war.

As Russia continues to wage war on Ukraine, the solidarity of Catholics both abroad and in the U.S. offers a tangible model for loving one’s neighbor.

Parishioners in dioceses across the United States have heeded the call of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Migration and Refugee Services (MRS) to support refugees. MRS particularly recommends the forming of “Welcome Circles,” which are small communities of individuals that come together — often in the context of a parish — to support Ukrainian families, who, through the Uniting for Ukraine sponsorship, are able to come to the United States for two years on humanitarian parole.

Academics

Why is it that so many people in academia are atheist or agnostic? I was reading an article in Creation.com about Dr.John Ahlquist B.S.,M.S., Ph.D. In molecular biology and was an ornithologist. I don’t know what denomination he was (I don’t think he was LCMS, though I don’t know) but he was a theistic evolutionist who later became a creationist.

So why are so many academics atheist or agnostic?

St. Louis children’s transgender clinic refuses to halt operations amid AG investigation

Amid at least two official investigations into a children’s transgender clinic run by Washington University in St. Louis, the clinic says it will not impose a moratorium on the prescription of puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones to any new patients.

This comes despite a whistleblower’s sworn statement that she witnessed doctors at the Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital prescribing puberty-blocking drugs to minors without parental consent.

“The Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital is the only place in the entire state of Missouri where transgender youth can access the care they need to ensure their mental and physical well-being,” the Feb. 14 statement reads.

“Therefore, we cannot institute a moratorium that would deny critical, standards-based care to current and new patients. Out of an abundance of caution, however, we are establishing additional oversight at the Transgender Center, and we will continue our internal review of practices at the center to ensure that our patients and families are receiving the appropriate guidance and care for their individual medical needs.”

God's sovereignty and the role of the Trinity in Genesis 1

So, while most people acknowledge the Trinity in Genesis 1 through a few things:

Genesis 1:
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

and

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Which people will say is the Holy Spirit in the Trinity as opposed to God the Father and God the Son.

But I think there's more than that.
John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Hebrews 1
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Colossians 1
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

So.. on a surface level, most people see God speaking things into being, treating it as a monolithic God who's speaking is the creative action.

But what Genesis 1 actually shows is a little bit different. In some cases you have a Sovereign, who can be the direct causative agent of something happening, or the Sovereign can allow another agent to act and thus be the direct causative agent.

In the scripture above, it is shown that Jesus, God the Son, is the direct causative agent, and God the Father is the Sovereign who allows the Son to create, and that fits with the language of Genesis 1 rather than just "speaking into existence" in most cases.

First there are 2 ways creation is shown in the text, one where it does appear that it is just speaking into existence, or, God was sovereignly allowing something to happen on its own, like a chemical reaction that spontaneously occurs

Genesis 1:
3 And God said, ]b]Let there be light: and there was light.
Seems like just a command so God (most likely the Father, would be the direct causative agent.. however, it still uses the wording that made me start thinking about this topic in particular
It is "Let" there be light, that is, God allowed it rather than directly caused it. Whether God the Son was the direct causative agent, or, as happens in physics normally, light emission is a spontaneous reaction from certain processes in matter to energy conversions.. the language does not directly say from this particular verse, however in the following verse, God is a direct causative agent:
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
God observed, made a judgement, and then performed an action directly. This would most likely be God the Son, as new testament scripture identifies the Son as the causative agent.

Another case is separating the land and water into the sea:
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
So again, the command is to allow something to happen, but no direct causative agent action is shown, until after it has happened, God makes an observation and names it, and judges it to be good.

and then the Earth bringing forth plants, now this is a very interesting one, because of the direct causative agent in the text being the Earth.
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
So again the supreme sovereign allowed this to happen, but God is not shown to be the direct causative agent in this case, it appears to be... the Earth?
But also again New Testament identifies God the Son as the causative agent.

Now the second way creation is shown in the text, and I think these more clearly demonstrate God the Father as the sovereign allowing God the Son to directly create:
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
So the Sovereign allows it
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
and God as the direct causative agent creates what was allowed by God the Father. In this case it's, with the New Testament applied, God the Son who does this.

next
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
All these commands to allow the direct causative agent to create.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
and then the act of creating them.

and now I have a question... when it comes to the living beings, the animals and later man, God also bestows a blessing on them. Is this God the Holy Spirit, the third person in the trinity?
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
So there's God the Father, again, allowing God the Son to create, that's 1
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
This would be God the Son, doing the act of creating, that's 2
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
Is this 3? God the Holy Spirit, providing the blessing? Would that fit in our understanding of God the Holy Spirit?

Here it is again:
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
God the Father, allowing the creation
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
God the Son, directly creating them
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
God the Holy Spirit, blessing them?

Also throughout the passage, God makes judgements on each thing made.. which person of the Trinity makes these judgements that they are good? It would seem logical that God the Father, who gave the instruction to God the Son, would judge His work.
But God the Son is the judge of the quick and the dead, so He could also be the person who judges His own work.
and the Holy Spirit convicts, is that not also an act of judging?
So either of the 3 persons in the Godhead, could be the person judging each creation, or possibly all of them?

But I am maybe going out on a limb here.. that we might see all 3 persons of God at work in creation, through God the Father commanding/allowing, doing the decision making, while God the Son executes and performs the creation, and God the Holy Spirit blesses it, and one, or all of them judges the work and declares it good.

Food for thought I hope at least.

Opposition to Christ and His Gospel

I am reading Acts 4:1-31

The apostles were instrumental in the healing of people in the name of Jesus, and they were sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people. But many of the Jewish rulers did not like what they were doing. So, they arrested them, and eventually they decided to warn them to no longer speak in the name of Jesus, for they were against Jesus Christ, which is why many of them participated in plotting and in carrying out his death on that cross.

“But Peter and John answered them, ‘Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard’” (Acts 4:19-20 ESV). Amen!

So, the Jewish authorities released them, and then the apostles went to their friends and reported what the chief priests and the elders had said to them.

“And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said, ‘Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them, who through the mouth of our father David, your servant, said by the Holy Spirit,
“Why did the Gentiles rage,
and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers were gathered together,
against the Lord and against his Anointed”—
for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place. And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.’ And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.” (Acts 4:24-31)

Why Do They Rage?

So, why do the ungodly of this world rage against the Lord and the peoples plot in vain against him? For they are still doing this, in case you didn’t know. Only now they just alter the character of Jesus Christ to make him more acceptable, and so they also alter the gospel message to make it more acceptable, so it doesn’t appear that they are against Christ and his gospel, but that they are against those who they say are teaching “works salvation.” For they have twisted and turned everything inside out.

But, in truth, because they have altered the character of Christ and they have altered and twisted his gospel to make it more acceptable to the people of the world and to human flesh, it shows that they are still raging against the Lord. And they are still plotting against our Lord in order to put biblical Jesus and his gospel to death, and so that they could raise up a false Jesus and a false gospel to take their place, in order to deceive the masses into following the false Christ and the false gospel.

Have you noticed how many TV shows (series) and movies and documentaries (perhaps) of late have been about Jesus Christ, where they are painting him as someone everyone loved, pretty much? I believe this is purposeful, and the intent is to move everyone from following the true Jesus to now following this false (altered) Jesus and his false (altered) gospel. So, this is of Satan, and he is still trying to put Jesus and his message to death.

And preachers and teachers of the Scriptures are doing this, too, but not all of them, but the majority of them in America, perhaps. And many of them are twisting the Scriptures, and they are teaching them out of their context in order to deceive the masses into believing and following after their lies, and in order to demonize the truth so that they will reject the truth of who Jesus is and of what he taught and of the truth of his gospel of our salvation.

And many people in America are flocking to these preachers, and they are flocking to these movies and TV series about Jesus, and they are adopting these dramatized and altered versions of who Jesus is and was, and of his gospel message, too, and they are being convinced that the lies are the truth and the truth is the lie. And so we who are bringing the truth of the gospel to the people are being demonized, too.

Now, in America, we are not being told that we can’t speak in the name of Jesus, for they have made the name of Jesus a household word, and they have altered his character to make him more acceptable to the ungodly. And we are not being prevented, so far, from speaking the gospel, unless what we are teaching is not the altered gospel. For so much of what is called “church” in America has adopted the altered Jesus and the altered gospel, and so they are largely rejecting us who are teaching the true Jesus and the true gospel. And in many cases we are being silenced.

But thank the Lord, the internet in America, so far, is still a place where we can share the true Jesus and the truth of the gospel, although not in every location, not even on all “Christian” sites. For wherever they have adopted the altered Jesus image and the altered and diluted gospel, it appears they are mostly discouraging the teaching of what is truth. I know I have found that to be true in most institutional churches (businesses) I have been part of over the years of my life and on some websites.

Now the point here is that Satan and his messengers are still trying to put Jesus and his message to death, and they are still opposing those who are still speaking the truth of the gospel. And the truth is that by God-given faith in Jesus Christ we must die with Christ to sin and live to him and to his righteousness in walks of obedience and humility and submission to Christ Jesus, our Lord. And this is to be our daily practice, not in absolute sinless perfection, but in walking according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh, by the Spirit.

And it is that there are many people who are now following after the lies and who are professing faith in Jesus Christ, convinced that heaven is their destiny, while they continue living in sin, for the flesh, with no fear of God. They refuse to believe our Lord’s teachings and his warnings, and so they go on in their sin convincing themselves that they are in fellowship with God. But the Bible is clear. If we make sin our practice, and if righteousness, holiness, and obedience to our Lord are not what we practice, then we will NOT inherit eternal life with God.

Full Release

An Original Work / April 15, 2012

Walking daily with my Savior
brings me joy.
Loving Father; precious Jesus;
He’s my Savior and my Lord.
Gently leads me; follow Him.
I’ve invited Him within.
Now abiding in His presence,
oh, what peace.
From my self-life
He has brought me,
By His mercy, full release.

Hope and comfort,
peace and safety Jesus brings
When I daily bow before Him;
Obey freely; do His will.
Follow Him where’er He leads.
Listen to Him; His words heed.
Now obeying his words fully,
oh, what love
That He gives me
through salvation,
By His Spirit, from above.

Loving Father; precious Jesus,
He’s my friend.
With my Savior, by His Spirit,
I will endure to the end.
Share the gospel, tell what’s true.
Witness daily; His will do.
Tell the world of how their Savior
bled and died.
On a cruel cross He suffered
So that we might be alive.
