There will be 7 trumpet actions that will take place during the Great Tribulation. Those actions are announced by 7 angels what they will be.
I would teach that though calamities, either natural or supernatural commence from trumpet #1 they are not all
the great tribulation. The great trubulation commences from the 5th trumpet.
So though dramatic world wide events commence for trumpet #1 it is trumpets #5,#6,#7 that encompass "the great tribulation".
I studied closely your chart. Below I will try to give some brief reasons for what I wrote so far as I go along.
The last three of the trumpet actions (i.e. 5, 6, 7) are called "woe to the inhabiters of the earth".
The last three trumpets each correspond to the three woes of
Revelation 8:13.
And I saw, and I heard an eagle flying in mid-heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to those who dwell on the earth because of the remaining trumpet sounds of the three angels who are about to trumpet! (Rev. 8:13)
The great tribulation is from
the fifth trumpet - the first woe of
woe, woe, woe
the sixth trumpet - the second woe of woe, woe, woe.
the negative contents of the seventh trumpet - the third woe of
woe, woe, woe.
"The remaining trumpets of the three angels" are the great tribulation.
The seventh trumpet contains both negative contents and positive contents.
The seventh trumpet's negative contents are the seven bowls.
The seventh trumpet's positive contents is the annoucement of the arrival of the kingdom of Christ for eternity.
We should consider the book of Revelation in two major parts.
And the conclusion to the first part is chapter 11 in the arrival for eternity of Christ's kingdom on earth.
What follows from chapter 12 is the second prophecy revisiting specifically the last 3.5 years of the
closing of the age before Christ's arrival on the surface of the earth to establish His eternal kingdom.
To try to understand chapters 12 - 22 as chronologically following chapter 11 will lead to confusion.
I would teach students of Revelation to consider the conclusion of the book in chapter 11.
And I would teach from chapter 12 to the end a revisiting of what was revealed with special attention
to some matters during the 3.5 last years of the age preceding the millennial kingdom and the eternal age after that.
There will also be 7 vials of God's wrath poured out during the Great Tribulation.
I see it that way also. As for the seven trumpets strictly speaking only the fifth, sixth, and seventh trumpet (the three woes)
comprise the great tribulation. But ALL SEVEN of the seven bowls comprise the great tribulation of the last 3.5 years.
And they probably will happen in quick succession and overlap.
I do not want to be so curious as to be here on earth to find out.
There is the option to view those terrible times from a heavenly viewpoint and come down
with Christ at its end as His army of overcoming ones.
The way Revelation is written is like Russian dolls. When you open up a doll there is another one inside.
The contents of the seventh seal are the seven trumpets. This is like a smaller Russian doll inside a larger one.
The contents of the seventh trumpet are the seven bowls. This also is like a smaller Russian doll inside a larger one.
The is the marvelous design of this book.
When you open up the seventh seal and inside are seven trumpets.
When you open up the seventh trumpet inside are seven bowls.
Generally speaking, those take place in the latter half of the Great Tribulation and several of the vials intensify what had already happened by some of the trumpet actions.
I made this chart timeline as a visual aid.
Before any of you say to me that the 7th trumpet is not before the 5th and 6th, please note what the third woe is. The third woe to the inhabiters of the earth is Satan cast down to earth having great wrath because he knows his time is short, Revelation 12:12. i.e. a time, times, half times. Revelation 12:14.
Here is where it is important to see that the first section of Revelation concludes with chapter 11.
And chapter 12 is a recap or revisiting of the previous section with special focus on some critical matters already shown.
For this reason my correction would be that the 5th trumpet, which is the first woe of the three marks the
event of chapter 12. That is the WOE because Satan has come down to harrass the earth is the same
event told the fifth trumpet.
And I saw, and I heard an eagle flying in mid-heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to those who dwell on the earth because of the remaining trumpet sounds of the three angels who are about to trumpet! (8:13)
And the fifth angel trumpeted, and I saw a star out of heaven fallen to the earth, and to him was given the key of the pit of the abyss. (9:1)
Briefly:
1.) This star is Satan. The same event is recovered in Revelation 12.
Chapter 9 says he fell. But chapter 12 tells more - WHY he fell.
2.) The star that fell is a personage because it says something was given to
him.
and to him was given the key of the pit of the abyss.
3.) This "him" of a fallen star opens up the realm of the abyss and allows terrible demonic beings out of it.
This corresponds to the Devil standing on the shore of the sea after being cast out of heaven and summoning up
Antichrist from the abyss and from the sea.
Once again, chapter 12 is revisiting with special focus the event of chapter 9.
Compare the initial sign in chapter 9 with the revisting sign in chapter 12.
And the fifth angel trumpeted, and I saw a star out of heaven fallen to the earth, and to him was given the key of the pit of the abyss. (9:1)
Compare:
Woe to the earth and the sea because the devil has come down to you and has great rage, knowing that he has only a short time. (12:12b) And he stood on the sand of the sea. (12:18) And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns ten diadems, and on his heads names of blasphemy. (13:1)
The beast coming up out of the sea
(chapter 13) is the Apollyon and Abaddon as a king over the demons
(chapter 9)
They have a king over them, the angel of the abyss; his name in Hebrew is Abaddon; and in Greek he has the name Apollyon.
The first woe has passed; behold, two woes are yet coming after these things. (9:11,12)
Abaddon aka Apollyon is not Satan. He is the one released by Satan to do his worse FOR Satan.
Abaddon aka Apollyion is the beast out of the sea and out of the abyss. That is the Antichrist.
He is allowed to act because the fallen star has been allowed authority to release such a being from the depths of
the abyss, a man not an angel. He is a man released by Satan to be the Antichrist. And he is a king over the demons
that are released from the abyss with him.
